Quick news: Bucky Covington in Watertown and Virginia Beach (photo links) and a little "Hokey Pokey"...

Many thanks to Hildi for graciously sharing this shot of Bucky Covington onstage in Watertown, TN.  Browse Bucky's concert schedule at his official site, and don't miss a beat!

Bucky Covington and his band have had a busy weekend, indeed--first, they headlined a sunny Saturday afternoon benefit show in Watertown, TN, and it was captured beautifully in this Spotted gallery posted by the Lebanon DemocratMusic With a Purpose, sponsors of the event, tweeted this fun photo, and local favorite performer Alicia Smith shared this view of the show getting underway and a terrific backstage glimpse.  We like all those great shots, but we absolutely loved this one of Bucky onstage with special guest star MsBuckyfan/Kimberly--thanks to everyone who gave us a photographic taste of Saturday's good times!

This afternoon, Bucky and Help the Good Guys joined forces with Hall Nissan in Virginia Beach to present a Recycled Ride to a local firefighter and his family.  97.3 The Eagle was there, and they captured the event in this photo album posted at Facebook today.

Bucky also visited with the team at Fire Rescue TV;  their Facebook features a photo of Bucky with Fire Rescue TV Marketing Director Jennifer Hux and Administrative Assistant Katy Tecson.  (Looks like they're in front of a green screen--could another PSA be in the works?  Stay tuned...)

Quick weekend preview: New Bucky Covington concert date, and more photos from the "Save A Hero" launch and the CMA Awards...

We had to close our "What's your favorite Good Guys album only track?" poll due to a tech snafu, but no matter--the winner ran away with a full 50% of the vote! Here's "Hold A Woman", a sexy standout both live and on Bucky Covington's hot new album, Good Guys--get yours now at Amazon, iTunes, the HelpTheGoodGuys.com store, Bucky's official site, or at a music retailer near you.  (Thanks to Buckyteacher at YouTube for this terrific video.)

We'll start things off with a brand new concert date;  Bucky Covington will join Chris Cagle, Craig Campbell, The Farm, Katie Armiger, Greg Bates, Dustin Lynch, Jana Kramer, Edens Edge and Lauren Alaina for this year's KTEX 10 Man Jam.  It's happening on Saturday, December 8th at Winks Saloon in Brownsville, TX, and proceeds will benefit the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley.  There are many ways to get your tickets--check 'em all out right here, and enjoy!

Quick news: Bucky Covington in the CMA Fest Kickoff Parade (photo links) and at Whiskey Bent tonight...

Bucky Covington serenades the crowd at his first ever Fan Club party concert in Nashville during CMA Fest week 2009; photo provided by the very gracious Diver. Thanks again!

Thanks to Bucky Covington's Twitter for sharing so many links to photos from today's CMA Fest Kick-Off Parade in Nashville earlier today. Bucky waved from a classic fire fighter's truck representing Help the Good Guys, and he was the first country artist down the route.

Via Twitter, Bucky shared this parade shot from The Tenneesean, a great portrait with members of the Nashville Fire Department Honor Guard, a pre-parade handshake with Cowboy Troy, a post-parade smile with Craig Campbell, an inside-the-truck perspective (via Monarch Publicity), and a graceful pose with new country artist Imaj.

Bucky's sold out fan club party begins about 8:30 tonight at Whiskey Bent (directions) in downtown Nashville.  At about 10:30, the doors will be opened to the public, and Bucky and his band will rock the place for one and all!  This is a free show, so if you're anywhere near the area, get on down there now, y'all.  (No word yet on whether or not a live stream is happening tonight, but keep an eye on Bucky's Twitter and UStream.tv for any pleasant surprises...)

Those of us who can't be there (sigh!) can still give Bucky and "I Wanna Be That Feeling"  a big round of applause at  GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown and CMT Pure's Pure 12 Pack, as well as on the request lines at our local country stations.  More soon!

Quick news: Bucky Covington hits Las Vegas (audio interview via WGH) and photos at Wire Image...

Bucky Covington and 97.3 The Eagle's Mark McKay talk Las Vegas, movies and tears (ahem!), music and more during this fatigued-but-funny interview posted at WGH-FM's ACM Awards audio page. Many thanks to the station for posting the photo and link on their Facebook wall--check it out!

More ACM media room memories, watermarked but still fun--Bucky and Brantley Gilbert were captured by the cameras during the Westwood One remotes whirl, and you can see three shots at Wire Image today. (Our good friend Fran at Buckytown USA also has a stellar "on the road" photo by KarriN posted this morning...hop on over there now.) We'll be back with more here this evening--see you very soon!

Bucky Covington's in the studio (with a very cool special guest, via Twitter)

eOne Licensing's Stalwart Anonymous Twitterer (apologies--I wish we knew your name, sir!), Shooter Jennings and Bucky Covington look content in this studio shot shared by eOne today. The photo came with a caption that'll make any music lover smile: "Hanging with @ShooterJennings and @buckycovington in the studio yesterday. Two killer albums coming out soon". We're looking forward to both! In the meantime, Bucky's hot new single, "I Wanna Be That Feeling", is on sale now at iTunes. (Click image to view full size.)

Bucky Covington's been busy on the road and in the studio, and today, we got not one but a pair of tweets complete with cool studio photographs. Bucky's label, eOne, shared that fine shot of Bucky with the awesome (ok, I'm a fan) Shooter Jennings, and Bucky himself tweeted this photo with a fun message: "In studio yesterday recording with a very special guest - guess who? ". Yep...we really, really are looking forward to Bucky's sophomore album in the spring of '12...

For now, we'll be able to enjoy some of the songs from Bucky's upcoming album live a couple more times before the year draws to a close. Here are those December concert reminders once again:

Saturday, December 17th at the Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center in Huntingdon, TN: Tickets for this afternoon, all-ages show are available now at the venue's website, or call (731) 986-2100 to order by phone.

Bucky Covington and Rocky Covington share a microphone for their "Seven Spanish Angels" duet at the Alamdeda County Fair; photo by the very kind Minnie. Thanks again!

Sunday, December 18th at Lightning Strikes Bowling Center in Trussville, AL: Bucky Covington will be the celebrity bowler at "Bowling With Bucky", a benefit for the family of injured Birmingham Fire Fighter Brad Dean presented by BLEVE and Entertainment One Music. The event begins at 1 pm and ends at 4pm; you can buy a $25 ticket for both bowling and an acoustic performance, or a $10 performance-only seat. (Children under 10 will be admitted to the show free.) The venue is located at 3600 Roosevelt Blvd in Trussville, and more information is available now on Facebook.

As for hearing Bucky on the radio...word has it that his new single has already enjoyed some airtime ahead of its official release! Lisa just mentioned on Twitter that a local station in Wisconsin is playing "I Wanna Be That Feeling", and even with the holiday programming taking over the country airwaves, those new song rating shows might have a pleasant surprise for you, too. We'll see you very soon...have a great night!

Video: Meet Bucky Covington's band, introducing Weston Burt, and stunning Family Day photos from the 459th ARW

Ever wanted to meet Bucky Covington's band? The talented captured this intro and encore video in Alpena, MI a little while back, and we thank her for her kindness. Bucky Covington and his band still have stops left on this year's sizzlin'-hot Hometown Tour--click here for his official tour page, and be sure to check out Buckytown USA and Bucky's Twitter, too.

It's a slowish news day, but we're happy to add another introduction to the very stylish ones you just saw on Moya's great video. Singer/songwriter Weston Burt sent an announcement to his followers on Twitter about his autumn plans; "Hey fans! I'm excited to announce that I will be going on tour with Bucky Covington this fall!" Be sure to check out his website, and get set to say "hi" to Weston and Bucky in October and/or November!

Bucky's summer was just as eventful; a couple of weeks or so ago, he played a very special show at Andrews AFB to honor the men and women of the 459th Air Refueling Wing and their families. There's a big and beautiful photo album from the day at the 459th ARW's Media Gallery, including this absolutely priceless shot of Bucky and Rocky Covington looking ready for take-off. (Yep, it's hard to pick a favorite Bucky and Rocky photo, but that one's a gem for sure...) Enjoy browsing the photos--and feel free to join us in a hearty thanks to the 459th ARW for their service.

Just a reminder: Bucky's next show happens on October 1st at the Breathitt Heritage Fair in Jackson, KY, and we hope you'll be there, too. More soon--enjoy the day!

Photo link: Bucky Covington and more at Country Weekly's fashion show (plus a few concert reminders)

Kudos to the very kind Glenda for sharing a terrific front-row view from Bucky Covington's concert at The Colony in Texas.

Thanks to Diver for this quick link to a great photo gallery at the Taste of Country blog--enjoy images of Bucky Covington and more of Nashville's hottest stars, who graced the catwalk at the Country Weekly fashion show yesterday to benefit Musicians on Call. Buckytown USA has more details on the rest of this week's CMA Fest-ivities, including tonight's super-hot Fan Club party at Rocketown.

Can't make it to Nashville this week? No worries--Bucky and his excellent band will be on the road later this month with stops in Kansas City on the 19th at the Cattle Baron's Ball (click here for info on this American Cancer Society benefit), in Anderson, SC at Bullfeather's on the 17th, and at the big Rapids Jam festival in Roanoke Rapids, NC on the 18th--head over here for a Fan Club discount offer.

As always, keep it tuned to Bucky's official site and Buckytown USA for concert updates--and keep your country radio station tuned in so you'll know when to request "A Father's Love" (ahem). More soon--have fun, everyone!

Quick news, photo link and video: Bucky Covington hits the runway (and the road) and a new Columbus date hits the schedule...

8 June 2010 - Nashville,TN -Bucky Covington performs at the Reading, Writing, and Rhythm concert hosted by Chely Wright

It's almost in the history books now--CMA Fest is winding down for another year (all together, now...awwww) but Bucky Covington's big summer concert tour is just getting warmed up. Buckytown USA has a fantastic roundup of news links from Bucky's time at CMA Fest in their Saturday post; kudos to Fran and Renee for putting it all together!

GAC's Suzanne Alexander caught up with the stars backstage at the 4th Annual Country Weekly Fashion Show & Concert at Nashville's Wildhorse Saloon on June 8, 2010. To see all the interviews and photos, visit http://www.gactv.com/cmafest. (Thanks to GAC for the video!)

We've got another addition to the schedule to share--tickets for a newly-added July 9th show at Screamin' Willie's in Columbus, Ohio are on sale now at Ticketmaster. This is a general admission show, and doors open at 6 pm, and we hope you can make it to the party. There's also a little more word about that mystery date in Glens Falls, NY on August 21st; we're waiting for confirmation, but it looks like Bucky and his band may be appearing with Jo Dee Messina and John Michael Montgomery at the Glens Falls Civic Center that evening. (He and his band are definitely part of the Jo Dee Messina and Friends show at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland ME on Friday, August 20th, brought to you by 99.9 The Wolf. If you're local, your best bet is to bookmark the venue's site and check back often...and if you hear any concert news, please feel free to pass it along!)

As for the party happening on your radio--looks like another good week for Bucky's latest hit "A Father's Love (The Only Way He Knew How)", even with a couple of superstar polevaults factored in. We'll wait for the official Billboard chart word on Monday evening, but there's never been a better time than right now to let your dad--and your country radio station--know how you feel about this charmer of a song. (Yep, that'd be an unsubtle but heartfelt request nag...)

We'll close with a reminder about the Father's Day contest at Bucky's official site--it ends at midnight CST on Father's Day, Sunday, June 20. The winner gets a signed photo and t-shirt, two meet and greet passes to his or her next Bucky Covington concert, and a short phone call from Bucky himself. Pretty cool, yes? Enter here, and good luck. See you on the road!

More Country Weekly party links, and a request reminder...

Thanks to Happydays for this great shot of Bucky Covington on stage in Biloxi, MS.

As we mentioned in this morning's post, Bucky Covington was part of last night's party in honor of Country Weekly's 15th Anniversary, and GAC has an article about the party posted today in their News & Notes blog, complete with a snap of Bucky and GAC's Storme Warren. Stephanie Langston of Steph In The City was also there for the fun--Bucky, his girlfriend Katherine and many of country's brightest stars are included in Steph's beautiful photo slideshow. Happy browsing! (Thanks to Diver for the heads-up.)

Need a soundtrack while you're enjoying the photos? "Gotta Be Somebody" could be a part of your celebrations this evening--dial up your friendly neighborhood live local country DJ right now, or give your favorite syndicated star a ring, an email, or a tweet:

New Guitar Smash photos, "Giants" video from Greenville, and a request reminder...

By special request, here's a fantastic close up concert photo by Judy Lang; many thanks to her for this shot of Bucky Covington on stage in Rockingham, NC. Click the image to browse Bucky's concert schedule at his official site.

We may not be sure of everything the first chart check of 2010 will bring this evening, but we're sure about one thing--Bucky Covington's "Gotta Be Somebody" sounds great on the radio! Feel free to give a quick call, eQuest or Tweet to your local country DJ tonight. (Click here for a handy local station finder.) If there's a syndicated show on the air where you are, contact the host or hostess gracing your airwaves and show Bucky some love:

Lia: 1-800-577-7LIA
The Big Time w/Whitney Allen: 1-877-494-4863
After MidNite: 1-800-722-6483
CMT Radio Live w/Cody Alan: 1-866-877-4CMT
2nd Shift w/Alan Kabel: 1-888-96NIGHT

While you're listening to the radio, why not enjoy some fun new photos and some rockin' fan video? Bev Moser of Moments by Moser was on hand for the recent Hard Rock Cafe Guitar Smash in Nashville, and her big Flickr photoset can be found right here. The very gracious buckyandrockytxfan has a freshly-uploaded video clip from last month's Greenville show--enjoy a live version of "Giants", a track from Bucky's upcoming album, I'm Alright.

Last but not at all least, be sure to hit the ol' video voting links for GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown and CMT's Pure 12-Pack, if you haven't already. The GAC ballot allows for one vote per day per computer (but they do have an option for sending the voting link to a friend...ahem), and CMT's Pure 12-Pack allows for repeat votes. We love 'em both! Have a great night...

Bucky Covington's "Lamp Post" (video) and new photos via Daylife and Getty Images (updated w/Smash video)

Thanks to Texas Proud Bucky Fan for the heads-up on this video by the talented DannaMarie, and thanks to Danna for sharing! Here's Bucky Covington and company performing the much-buzzed about "Lamp Post", a new original song that we're hoping to hear a lot more of in the coming year...

Bucky Covington's participation in yesterday's Hard Rock Cafe Guitar Smash ceremony in Music City was captured in this fun photo by Tony Phipps at Getty Images, and you'll find lots more images from the morning at Daylife (scroll down for a great collage of past and present event shots.)

"Gotta Be Somebody" is a sweet and rockin' tune for this holiday, or any day--call up your local country station's request line, and show Bucky some New Year's love at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown and CMT's Pure 12-Pack, too.

Updated: Here's a fresh video from the Guitar Smash, courtesy of the very kind Tiffany (a.k.a IndyBCFan) at MySpace--she's got some photos for you here, as well. Thanks so much!

Bucky Covington on stage in Indianapolis last week; thanks to the very kind Judy Lang for this front-row-view shot. Click the image to check out Bucky's official concert schedule.

Another quiet day, another wild Western night! Bucky Covington and his band will rock the Wrangler in Elk Grove, CA (Sacramento area), and a good time is a given. (We're not sure if there are tickets left at post time, but check out the Wrangler's eTix page for what could be a pleasant surprise this morning. If you're going, have a blast!)

Tomorrow, Bucky and company hit the Rodeo Club in San Jose--pick your tickets up for $15 at KRTY, or pay $20 at the door. On Saturday, it's back to the beautiful fair scene--the Inter-Mountain Fair in McArthur, CA, to be exact. Call (530)336-5695 for tickets, and enjoy the California sunshine...

Bucky's brilliant bass player Steve Cook describes the group's Northwestern travels in his latest update at Shiny Bass Journal--be sure to check it out.

Jeff Cease, Rocky Covington and Bucky Covington delighted the crowd in Indianapolis a little while back; thanks again to Judy Lang for this fun photo.

Checking out the charts--it's quiet there, too, and if 31 is your favorite number, you're once again in luck. "I Want My Life Back", Bucky's beautiful current single, is sporting a respectable bullet this morning, but we always like to see 'em as plump as possible. (If your local country station has a lunchtime request show coming up, feel free to ask for Bucky this afternoon--or anytime!)

Finally, here's a wire service gallery we missed a little while back--Bucky was among the many country stars who gathered at People Magazine's Country Issue celebration back in August. Happy browsing, and have a great Thursday, everyone!

Bucky Covington at the Kitsap County Fair tonight (photo via Twitter) and Cody Alan's gallery...

Thanks to Tony Thomas of KMPS for sharing this shot via TwitPic--looks like he and Bucky Covington are enjoying a pre-show chat in Bremerton, WA. (Click here for a bonus photo of Bucky showing off a pair of...Crocs?! Uh oh...)

Bucky's very likely to switch into a pair of fancy boots for his show tonight at 5:30 Pacific. Washington State fans have two more chances to enjoy him this week: tomorrow's North Central Washington District Fair in Waterville and Saturday's Benton Franklin Fair and Rodeo concert in Kennewick are sure to please. (For more tour dates, click here and prepare for a fantastic night of live country music...)

And of course, Bucky's "I Want My Life Back" (#30 with a slender bullet for the day) is sure to please on your radio wherever you are tonight! Call up your live local country DJ, or request "I Want My Life Back" from your favorite syndicated host or hostess:

You'll find shots of all your country favorites there, and we spotted Bucky in this ACM media room gallery and this group of shots from the CMT Music Awards red carpet. Happy browsing!--Winnie

Bucky Covington at GAC's Photo of the Week, and a request reminder...

Bucky Covington in a promo photo taken a couple of weeks back. (Credit: Lyric Street Records)

Those terrific new Lyric Street Records promo photos of Bucky Covington are making the rounds--and one is GAC's current Photo of the Week. Head over to GAC now to see which one, and make sure to leave them a little comment to let them know you'd like to see more of Bucky online and on the channel. (Thanks to a kind anonymous commenter here for the news!)

Rumor has it we'll have a music video for Bucky's new single "I Want My Life Back" [hear it here] when the song hits the Top 25 or so...right now, it's #36 with a bullet at Mediabase, and each and every request-line phone call and email we (and our friends and coworkers and relatives) make will bring us closer to seeing it.

Bucky's last music video made its debut in October of 2007--that is way, way too long for someone as videogenic as he is to be off the air at GAC and CMT. After all, most of us got to know Bucky via TV...getting another video on the air will help many new fans discover his talents. All the more inspiration to call, yes? Dial up your local live country DJ now, or let the syndicated host you're listening to know you'd like Bucky's new single to be part of your night:

Lia: 1-800-577-7LIA

Evening edition: Bucky Covington at the CMT Music Awards, new Texas shots, KHEY photos coming soon and more...

Ducky Medlock, Bucky Covington and Steve Cook on stage in Harker Heights, Texas; click the image to see more photos by the very kind AmaTexMom at Bucky Fan Pics. Many thanks to AmaTexMom for her generosity!

As of post time, we've got one (count 'em, one) photo of Bucky Covington on the CMT Music Awards red carpet at Wire Image, and three shots at Getty Images, but it's safe to assume that there'll be lots more where that came from pretty soon, as well as at CMT's own galleries. And to add to the photographic frustration, it looks as though KHEY's having a few technical difficulties with their New Country Showcase galleries; the link is there on their photo page, but at last check the dreaded "red X" appeared to be quite the camera-hog. Bookmark both those pages and stay tuned...there could be some fun images for your browsing pleasure by the time you read this! (Edited to add a link to a friend's favorite Getty Images photo so far--pretty cool shot, yes?)

Fortunately, our good friend AmaTexMom is tech-savvy--her beautiful Bucky Fan Pics site has just been updated with galleries from all four of those rockin' Texas shows--check out Odessa, Harker Heights, Fort Worth and San Angelo. Huge thanks to AmaTexMom for sharing the fun!

After you've watched the awards and enjoyed the photos, be sure and take some time out for a little late night radio listening. "I Want My Life Back" [hear Bucky Covington's new single at his MySpace] is climbing the charts and the future video for the tune could be next year's big CMT Music Award winner. Bucky's fourth smash hit is as close as your fingertips--call your local country DJ or request Bucky's latest from one of our syndicated friends:

Lia: 1-800-577-7LIA
The Big Time w/Whitney Allen: 1-877-494-4963
After MidNite: 1-800-722-6483

2nd Shift w/Alan Kabel: 1-888-96NIGHT
GAC Nights: 1-866-942-GAC1

More very soon--have fun with the awards and have a lovely night!--Winnie

Bucky Covington in Asheboro: photos and video (and a gentle reminder)

Bucky Covington spent Saturday afternoon in his home state of North Carolina, where he headlined the festivities at Cox Harley-Davidson's 48th Annual Open House. Local Fox affiliate station WGHP covered Bucky's appearance with a
photo gallery and a video report--enjoy!

While we're here, a gentle reminder about "I Want My Life Back"--Bucky's awesome new single is still battling in that multi-way Top 40 fight, and the Mediabase charts never take a holiday! If your local country station isn't running a pre-recorded holiday countdown, give them a call this weekend and give your friends and family a hint about calling, too--and if you're listening to a syndicated evening show on your way out to your Saturday night party, send those hosts a quick hello:

Lia: 1-800-577-7LIA (7542)
The Big Time with Whitney Allen: 1-877-494-4963
After MidNite with Blair Garner: 1-800-722-6483

Bucky Covington's "I Want My Life Back"--live video, Gator gallery and some fun facts...

Thanks to Happydays for posting this video at YouTube a while back--Bucky Covington and his terrific band gave the lucky crowd at the Jacksonville show a sneak preview of his new single "I Want My Life Back" in March.

Here's a little bit of goodness for chartwatchers and stats fans:

If you hop over and listen to "I Want My Life Back" on Bucky Covington's official MySpace, you'll be in lots of good company--his new single has racked up an impressive 56, 000-plus plays there as of today.

Bucky's new tune is also taking off on radio, and a quick peek at Mediabase indicates that it's hit the nationally syndicated Lia and The Big Time with Whitney Allen shows this week. So if those programs are carried on your local country station, don't be shy--call or email and make a request, and give After MidNite with Blair Gardner a ring, too...

Remember the good time we had with WKML's Top 5 @ 6 back when "A Different World" was heading up the charts? The station still streams, it still does that enjoyable live evening countdown, and Larry K. still welcomes our votes via email--and it's fun to support a station that welcomed Bucky to the airwaves right off the bat. (Those local evening countdowns out your way are important, as are requests on satellite radio--"I Want My Life Back" is currently on the playlist at XM Sirius 60 The Highway and XM 11 Nashville.)

Steve Cook, Jeff Cease, Bucky Covington and Ducky Medlock rock the stage in Jacksonville; photo by the very kind Diver. Thanks so much!

To wrap it up, here's a little photopalooza to serve as a reminder of how cool it can be when Bucky Covington and local radio get together. Jacksonville's 99.9 Gator Country/WGNE sponsored the show at which the video up top was taken; they also posted a 16-page photo gallery from the night at their MySpace. Bucky and Jimmy Wayne delighted the crowd, from the looks of it all--the photos are smallish, but the good times were definitely big. There are bigger photos at the Jacksonville.com galleries--those may or may not be new to you, but they're certainly worth a second (or first!) look. News post coming up later this morning--Winnie
