Bucky Covington joins Tracy Lawrence's Mission Possible Turkey Fry in Nashville...

Keith Anderson, Tracy Lawrence, Bucky Covington and Chad Warrix took a moment to smile for the cameras during today's Mission Possible Turkey Fry in Nashville.  (Photo courtesy Mickey Milam)

Bucky Covington was among the many country music notables, Tennessee Titans stars and Titans cheerleaders who joined host Tracy Lawrence for today's seventh annual Mission Possible Turkey Fry in the parking lot of the Nashville Rescue MissionIn this interview posted at Examiner.com, Lawrence mentioned two goals for the fry--to raise awareness of the services the Mission provides to those in need,  and to provide thousands of meals for the area's homeless citizens this year.  WSMV-4 posted a video segment taped just before the fry began, and WTVF/Newschannel 5 also covered today's event; you'll find their article here.

Tracy Lawrence and Bucky Covington at the Mission Possible Turkey Fry; thanks again to Mickey Milam for the photo.

There should be lots more memories from the day popping up soon...in the meantime, don't miss these fun Tweeted shots from Tracy LawrenceSheila Paz Hicks, and Keith Anderson, and enjoy the latest updates at the Help The Good Guys Facebook and Bucky's own Facebook.

Bucky and Tracy are also part of a special event happening in Las Vegas--the Academy of Country Music Rodeo Live Stage during the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo will feature two sets by Bucky, as this newly updated Cowboy Fanfest schedule [.pdf] indicates.  On December 13th, you can enjoy Bucky's live music from 1:30 pm to 2:15 pm, and again at 4:00 pm to 4:45 pm; Tracy Lawrence will grace the stage December 6th at 1:30 pm and 4:00 pm.

We'll wrap things up with a link to a very special Help The Good Guys video memory--if you were there at yesterday's Hall Nissan Recycled Ride giveaway, you know what a moving and heartfelt gathering it was.  Be sure to watch this clip from the presentation, featuring a very surprised firefighter, a performance by Bucky with Rocky Covington and Ducky Medlock, and a community coming together to honor and celebrate a hometown hero in joyous fashion.  Huge thanks to Eagle 93.7 for capturing the moment!

The gang's all here: country music stars, Tennessee Titans players and cheerleaders, members of the Goodlettsville All-Stars and more notables gathered for today's Mission Possible Turkey Fry in Nashville.  (Thanks again to Mickey Milam for today's photos.)

We'll be back tomorrow--until then, feel free to join us in showing Bucky and Shooter Jennings some voting-style affection at GAC's Top 50 Videos of the Year and at CMT Pure's Pure 12 Pack. Have a good evening, everybody!

Video: Bucky Covington, Rocky Covington and Ducky Medlock speak out for East Coast firefighters, and an early chart check...

Bucky Covington and co-writers Rocky Covington and Ducky Medlock want a word with you in this clip posted by Help The Good Guys at YouTube.  From the video's description:

All profits from the new single "Drinking Side Of Country" through December 31st go to the International Association of Firefighters Relief Fund for East Coast fire fighters who lost their homes or had severe damage from Super Storm Sandy. Please email or call your local radio station and ask them to play the song and let their audience know to purchase the song from www.helpthegoodguys.com or iTunes.

We especially like the idea of letting local country stations know about the way that Bucky's single is helping firefighters in need--spread the word!

Bucky Covington concert photos from Keller's, and some odds and ends...

Bucky Covington good-humoredly answered some...er, "interesting" paparazzi questions at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in this video by the folks at --thanks to them for posting it on YouTube!

Bucky Covington and his band returned to the road in style over the weekend--they played a rousing set at Keller's Saloon in Castalian Springs, and there are two sets of photos available now for those who'd like to savor the memory. She also linked to this very funny podcast interview that popped up over the weekend--99.5 WYCD's Edwards & Lee got Bucky talking about his hair product secrets, his boot choices, the beautiful/scary setting for his upcoming "I Wanna Be That Feeling" music video and more...

Bucky Covington at CRS (brief interview video) and a few odds and ends...

Thanks to Rebecca Taylor for graciously posting her CRS interviews with Rascal Flatts, Ashley Monroe and Bucky Covington at YouTube today--enjoy!

Just a couple of quick notes today:

A kind elf let us know that the (former) April 21st Chattanooga Help The Good Guys charity ride featuring Bucky Covington is being rescheduled--a firm date should be coming across the wires soon, so check back here and at Buckytown USA often...

A favorite concert shot, posted by request: Bucky Covington on stage at his Jacksonville Landing show. Thanks again to Diver for her generosity and for a classic photo.

Meanwhile, Bucky's own Twitter has been busy this evening! If you're not following him, you're missing out--click here to see what he's been up to lately. (Also via Twitter, here's a smile-inducing photo of Bucky with Clifton Lambreth of The Ad Man Book fame--not sure what event this one comes from, but it looks like a good time!)

We'll wrap it up with a reminder about Bucky's hot new single, just hitting radio officially this month--request "I Wanna Be That Feeling" now at your local country station, and buy it for your very own at iTunes today. Bucky's live schedule is filling up nicely, and you can see his latest concert dates at his eOne Events page, or on the unofficial (but awesome) Buckytown USA sidebar. Bucky Covington, Rocky Covington, Ducky Medlock and Medrock sing us into the evening...

We love a good party, and it looks like this Medrock audience loved it, too! Bucky Covington and Rocky Covington shared the stage for a moment during this rowdy take on "Keep Your Hands to Yourself"; click here for another awesome Medrock video clip featuring the multi-talented Ducky Medlock on vocals. Huge thanks to Merlin1685 for posting these memories on YouTube!

Other than that...well, it's a slowish news day, so we'll close with a reminder about Bucky and his band's next live show (that'll be 2/16 at Capone's in Johnson City, TN; tickets are available behind this link) and a request nag...er, "suggestion" for his beautiful new single "I Wanna Be That Feeling", coming soon to country radio everywhere! Behind the Cameras at Bucky Covington's "I Wanna Be That Feeling" video shoot (via BCTV)

Here's a very different perspective on Bucky Covington's music video for his new single; "I Wanna Be That Feeling" plays, Bucky sings along (to a slightly sped-up version for video effects), and the glimpse behind the scenes is fascinating indeed. Major appreciation to Bucky for Tweeting the link from his official Twitter earlier this afternoon. We're looking forward to enjoying the finished product on GAC and CMT soon!

Bucky Covington and Rocky Covington (in the hat) at the WGAR Country Jam--winter has officially begun, but summer's just a dream away, y'all! Many thanks to the very talented Trish for this classic concert memory.

Video: Bucky Covington becomes an honorary firefighter (via BCTV), and 2012 concert possibilities (via Buckytown)

Congratulations to America's newest (and perhaps most melodic?) honorary firefighter; Bucky Covington was presented with an engraved firefighter's hatchet during Sunday's benefit for Brad Dean, a Birmingham firefighter who was injured in the line of duty. To find out more about BLEVE's efforts to aid firefighters and police officers in times of need, click here. If you'd like to congratulate Bucky in person, Fran's Sunday and Monday posts at Buckytown USA are chock full of news about likely 2012 concert dates, and we'll repeat that info here. (These dates are technically unconfirmed; we'll both be on the lookout for more concert details as they become available.)

December 31st at Harrah's Las Vegas: Fran has posted that Bucky and his band will lead the party at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar inside Harrah's--there's a $25 per person ILTB admission or a $125 package for all 3 drinking venues, including drinks.

January 13th in Evansville, IN: No details yet, but if you're in the 99.5 WKDQ listening area, keep an ear out! (The station also has a Twitter and a Facebook where info on this concert might pop up soon...)

January 14th in Cottleville, MO: No details on this one so far, but 923 WIL in St. Louis might have more news as the weeks roll on.

Major thanks again to Fran for her wonderful weekend news gathering! Bookmark Buckytown USA for hot news, photos and videos every Saturday, Sunday and Monday. We'll be back soon, but we wanted to close with a link to Bucky's hot new single, "I Wanna Be That Feeling", now available at iTunes--be sure to check it out! More ASAP--W

Video by Bucky Covington: "The Legend of Willie C." (via BCTV)

A little weekend fun via Bucky Covington's official YouTube channel--"Evel Knievel" indeed! There's lots (and we mean lots) of delightful onstage and offstage footage on Bucky's channel--go check it out and get ready to smile a while!

We're gearing up for the weekend with Bucky Covington's latest behind the scenes video (above), but if you're in the Perryville, MD area, you'll have a chance to enjoy Bucky on stage Saturday night at the Minker Banquet Hall in Christmas in the Country, a benefit sponsored by 103 WXCY and Cowtown Cowboy Outfitters. Call 866-664-1037 for info about last-minute ticket options. Hope you'll be there tomorrow evening!

Bucky's latest single ("I Wanna Be That Feeling", available now at iTunes) is lighting up Twitter (naturally), and Twitter's also the source for a little more detail on that December 18th acoustic benefit bowl-and-show at Lightning Strikes Bowling Center in Trussville, AL. Dollar Bill and Madison of 102.5 The Bull posted a notice about the show on their blog at the station's website today. Proceeds from the show benefit injured Birmingham firefighter Brad Dean and his family, and at $25 (bowling and show) and $10 (show only), it's a great way to enjoy Bucky's live music before the whirlwind single promo starts up in a short while.

What whirlwind promo, you ask? We're guessing (only a guess for now) that an add date for country radio and a lot of those enjoyable morning-show interviews are on the horizon very soon. Our good friends at Buckytown USA are a great source for radio news, and Fran's Saturday, Sunday and Monday posts are a must-read. We'll see you there all weekend, and we'll see you right back here on Monday evening. Stay warm, everyone!

Bucky Covington's softball entrance, and a concert reminder...

Bucky Covington and his band faced the WGLR All-Stars for a fun filled Sunday of music and charity softball; major thanks to for posting this video at YouTube today!

We've got a cricket-chirpin' situation today, y'all--Bucky Covington and his excellent band are enjoying a well-earned few days off before their next show on October 1st (that'll be the Breathitt Heritage Fair in Jackson, KY), but his Twitter has been pretty busy this afternoon, so hop on over there and say hello! While we're waiting for an exciting bit of info, we'll take a moment to post a reminder about Bucky's concert at the State Theater in Starkville, MS--the date is October 21st, and tickets are available online now at TicketBiscuit. For the latest on Bucky's confirmed tour dates, be sure to stop in at his official site. More news (we hope) very soon--have a great evening!

New video interview: Bucky Covington talks about his new album, "American Idol" and more...

Sawyer Brown's Mark Miller and Bucky Covington wave to the hometown audience at Bucky's show in Rockingham, NC; photo by the very gracious Jackie Blue.

Fresh from Video News Online 7, here's a video interview you won't want to miss! Bucky Covington talks about his upcoming new album, I'm Alright (he says he and producer Mark Miller are hoping to get it released this fall...can't wait), his love of NASCAR and his first ever National Anthem performance in Dover, NH (sounds like that might be the FedEx 400 on May 15th at the Dover International Speedway; it's not yet listed on Bucky's official concert schedule, but we'll update with any new info ASAP) and more. He also talked about his "scariest" American Idol performance, and how ballads are a special challenge, as there's no driving beat to hide those nerves. I'm biased, of course (shocker!) but I thought his Idol ballad spot was fantastic, nerves and all. And history proved all of us who liked it right, of course--Bucky went on to have a big Top Ten Billboard hit with a beautiful ballad called "I'll Walk" in 2008.

Thanks to Fox for posting this interview online; and if you'd like to hear Bucky Covington and his excellent band doing brilliant ballads and rockin' the house up close and in person, click here for info on his very hot Hometown Tour. More soon!
