Another awesome song from Bucky Covington's new album, Good Guys--gotta love this one! Bucky and his band performed this rousing version of "Mama Must Be Prayin'" in Muskegon, MI--thanks to Moya for sharing the fun. Be sure to enjoy a live show this fall! Bucky's concert schedule is available at his official site.
The morning show visits were in honor of Bucky's upcoming show at the Tallahatchie RiverFest in New Albany, MS--you'll want to be there this Saturday night for the party! And on Sunday afternoon, enjoy an acoustic set by Bucky at Cousler Park in Manchester Township, PA, where he, the Manchester Township career firefighters, Help The Good Guys and Kayla Kroh will join forces to support the Muscular Dystrophy
Association. It's free, but you'll want to bring a donation for the firefighter's boots. Check out the details (including information on how you can win a signed guitar) at the event's Facebook page, and have fun!
It has come to our attention that Bucky is being advertised for a show
Sept 29th at Montgomery Steakhouse in Spiceland, IN. Bucky is not
scheduled to perform there even though they are utilizing his name as a
part of the show. We wanted t
o be sure all the fans were aware of this and that you did not purchase tickets to see Bucky at this event. Please visit www.buckycovington.com for the latest tour schedule and updates on Bucky Covington.
Bucky Covington on stage in Biloxi--many thanks to Texas Proud Bucky Fan for this great concert Photo of the Day.
We're on the road for work today, so our "lunchtime post" will be more like a "late-night snack" post. However, the poll at your right is always open for business! If you haven't done so already, please take a moment and have your say about the hot new additions toBucky Covington's live setlist--click here for four terrific concert videos taken by talented fans, and vote for your favorite tune. See you tonight!
Our Photo of the Day is a terrific Country Thunder shot by the very kind Gayle--this image of Bucky Covington (with Ducky Medlock singing harmony) captures what all the live excitement is about. Check out Bucky's concert schedule at his official site, and get ready to rock!
We here and at Buckytown USA couldn't help but notice that Bucky Covington and his band have added some excellent new tunes to the setlist--and they are rockin', indeed. If you haven't had a chance to get to aHometown Tour show yet, you're in for a treat! Luckily, some generous video-savvy fans have given us all a sneak peek at several of Bucky's fresh new songs that haven't (yet) become available for purchase.
It's always the most fun to give Bucky and the band live and loud feedback in person at a concert (so get to a show, already!), but if you're waiting for the tour bus to hit your hometown--or if you're savoring the memory of a past party--you can give Bucky some important feedback right here in our new poll (see sidebar). The voting will run all week, and we'll close it up and give the results on Monday--enjoy the music!
1. "Strong Enough to Take It" (video captured by MaryMc and posted by Buckyfan1007--image starts off sideways but goes into vertical mode in a few seconds)
Huge kudos to the very kind fans who capture the live concert fun for those of us who can't always be there. You've got lots more chances to see Bucky and company up close and personal and enjoy these hot new tunes--and his big first-album hits--in style. (Please spread the word about this poll--feedback is a beautiful thing for an artist, y'all.) Thanks for all your help, and have a marvelous Monday!
Bucky Covington and Rocky Covington shared the mic during their "Seven Spanish Angels" duet at Bucky's Fan Club party concert in Nashville; many thanks to Diver for providing the fantastic photo. Click the image to see the entire show at Ustream, courtesy of Y'allwire and MCN.
If you missed the CMA Fest extravaganza this past week, never fear--Bucky Covington's schedule is impressively full for the rest of the month, and his Western fans will have plenty of reasons to rejoice all summer long! Here's a quick look at where you can catch Bucky and his excellent band next:
On Thursday, June 18th, Bucky and company rock KIX on Beale, a concert series sponsored by KIX 106 in Memphis. The show is free, and there's an after-party/meet and greet at Coyote Ugly later that night--sounds like a fun way to spend a summer evening!
Bucky's Neenah, Wisconsin fans can enjoy him at Willie Beamon's on Saturday, June 20th. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $35 for VIP seats--free for the unemployed.
Friday, June 26th is Country Night at Flaming Gorge Days in Green River, Wyoming; spend a true Western evening with Bucky Covington, the Lost Trailers and Luke Bryan. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the gate.

On Sunday, June 28th, Bucky hits the Des Moines Water Works Park for 92.5 KJJY's Big Country Bash, and at only $27.50, this mini-festival is a fantastic deal. (Admission will be $45 at the gate, so snagging your ticket online ahead of time at IowaTix is your best bet.)
Bucky Covington and Jeff Cease on stage at Billy Bob's Texas; photo by the very kind Texas Proud Bucky Fan, who enjoyed Bucky's whole Lone Star State mini-tour last month. Thanks so much!
On the radio scene--well, we're posting a wee bit early for the morning Mediabase stats, but "I Want My Life Back"[hear Bucky Covington's new single at his MySpace] was #34 on the evening published charts when last we checked. The Top 30 chase is on, y'all! Join the fun--call your local country DJ with a request for Bucky today, and recruit a country-loving friend or two, if possible. (The more listeners dialing in, the merrier.) Bucky's latest was inaudible on Larry K's "Top 5 at 6" at WKML last night, but that's easily repaired with an email to country@wkml.com today...
And a reminder from yesterday about that Country Weekly cyber poll--they'd like to know your pick for country's sexiest stars, past, present and future--and there's a handy "Other"/write-in option available...
We'll wind things down with a couple of video notes--a little while ago, Bucky's official MySpace held a contest for a chance to play ROCK BAND with Bucky at the Fest, and yesterday, Bucky's blog was updated with fun video of the winners. (Stars of the the future!) And below, you'll find a repeat video by the very kind Danna Marie, requested by a very kind reader who finds our old-fashioned archives a little difficult to navigate. (No worries--I like this one too, and for those who haven't seen Bucky rock out "Evel Knievel" live--well, how many times am I gonna have to say get thee to a show? You'll be so glad you did. Enjoy! ) See you later today--Winnie
Bucky Covington and Ducky Medlock were on hand for WTCK's sold-out benefit show at Six Flags New England, where they helped raise over $6500 for Autism Speaks. Six Flags generously shared snippets from the performance at their MySpace--you'll find two more brief videos at the official Six Flags profile.
Thanks to the fine folks at KIX 102.5 for sharing these great shots--enjoy a gallery of photos from Bucky Covington's recent Club Kix show at the Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, OK. (Your next chance to experience Bucky Covington and his excellent band could be just around the corner; bookmark the sidebar at Buckytown USA and Bucky's official tour page and add a little live concert goodness to your summertime fun.) See you soon!--Winnie
Many thanks to Happydays for this extremely fresh video, taken last night in Winchester, Virginia--Bucky Covington and his rockin' band performed "Mexicoma" for a clearly delighted crowd. Enjoy! Full post coming up later this morning--Winnie

We've still got a relatively serene news day going on, but things were anything but serene in Hot Springs over the weekend! Bucky Covington and his amazing band performed "American Friday Night" to an enthusiastic crowd at the Summit Arena, and the very talented DiamondstarBC captured the fun and generously shared it at YouTube. Thanks so much!
Slow news days mean lots of voting and requesting time--"It's Good to Be Us" ended the day with matching #11 slots on the Mediabase weighted and Top 500 charts, but the bullet on the former chart is still a bit too non-existent for our liking. Some quick calls to Lia, The Big Time with Whitney Allen , Danny Wright All Night or After Midnite this evening could make for a much more promising Tuesday and Wednesday morning. (We love big red bullets around here...)
Finally, a note about one of Bucky's earliest (and most prominent) boosters, the legendary Hazel Smith--she notes in her latest CMT.com Hot Dish column that she has been cancer-free for one year. We're all wishing her the very best!
A hearty thank you to RfaSoccerMom for sharing this at YouTube--enjoy this freshly-uploaded clip of Bucky Covington's "I'll Walk" at the Broome Arena. More soon!--Winnie
Drop whatever you're doing and check this out, y'all! Buckymouse graciously posted this amazing video from Bucky's New Faces perfomance in Nashville last Friday, complete with that ultra-cool motorcycle entrance. (Be sure to leave Buckymouse a thank you comment at YouTube--huge kudos to her for sharing this sweet bit of history. Enjoy!)
(Click here to get the badge at left for your MySpace, webpage or email signature.)
Thanks to Laura for passing the word on the new Bucky Covington audio clip gracing the feature-packed front page of AfterMidnite.com today. Look for the yellow "The Country Insider" audio box on the right side of the page with Bucky's photo, and click the audio player to hear a brief bit of awards-show philosophy. (Can't argue with Bucky's logic, there!)
Here's a quick look at the rest of what's happening today:
Chart news: Bucky's single, "It's Good to Be Us", is poised to make it to that Top 10 milestone soon; it's #15 on the Mediabaseweighted chart and #14 on the Top 500 again this morning, with two bullets that could use some serious plumping up! Those syndicated country radio shows are all going to need a dash of Bucky's delightful single tonight, so be sure to give Lia, Whitney, and Blair a call or an email this evening. (Blair Garner's After Midnite also takes AIM requests--a really fun way of getting your favorite song--and your screenname--on the air.)
Upcoming shows: Only a few days to go until the Throttle Wide Open tour starts up again with a party at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach on Thursday, 3/13; snag your general admission entry at Ticketmaster. That Buffalo Bar show in St. Joseph, MO is fast approaching, as well--Bucky and his band will rock the house on Friday, March 21. Only 500 tickets were made available for this intimate show--there aren't many club dates on the schedule this season, so you'll want to be there! Tickets are $20, and can be purchased at at Biggins Sports Bar & Grill (816 232-4450) or Buffalo Bar at (816) 390-8444.

Head over there soon to be the first to correctly answer the quiz question and win an autographed picture and grand prize entry, and remember that one additional random winner of an autographed picture and grand prize entry will be chosen from all the posters who've answered the question correctly--but you've got to post your answer in the blog before Bucky's quiz-solving video appears! Here's the quiz schedule for the week:

Register at CMT and votenow---and recruit as many friends, co-workers and neighbors as you can! More soon--enjoy your Monday!
Here's a gorgeous, fresh video from the Throttle Wide Open tour--enjoy Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan and Bucky Covington together rocking to "Folsom Prison Blues" in Auburn Hills. (Thanks to jjinmi for graciously sharing this one on YouTube.) Be sure to check out haleylee123's videos of Bucky singing "It's Good to Be Us" and "A Different World" from the same great show. Kudos to both videographers for brightening our Sunday morning!
Chart news: "It's Good to Be Us" finishes the week at #16 on both the Mediabase weighted and Top 500 charts. It looks like we've got a wild week ahead, too--three big hitys are making their slow, graceful descent from the top and there's quite a competition brewing to fill those gaps. Keep requesting--we're looking for that Top 15 very soon!
Bucky Covington rocks the house at Cowboys Dance Hall in this great shot at by the very kind AmaTexMom, who shares more of her images from Bucky's San Antonio concert in her beautiful gallery at BuckyFanPics . Thanks again for your kindness!

The Covington Times features two great photos by BluIsDixieGurl-- Bucky Covington and Rocky Covington made a lasting impression at the Bucky Bash! Check out that pretty custom bookmark--and a great Trace Adkins book review, as well as some good advice about the charts--at Midask9's It's Good to Be Us blog.
Vote for Bucky: Yep, another nag--um, "bit of encouragement" about the 2008 CMT Music Awards. There's a belt buckle trophy in Bucky's future--but only if we vote it into his hands. Register and vote right away--and tell a few hundred friends!
Here's a Sunday treat you'll love--check out some fresh new video from Bucky Covington's show in Pompano Beach this weekend, posted at YouTube by the very kindHartsfelder. (Thanks to Aikenseeker for the sweet heads-up.)
We're "enjoying" a Sunday windstorm here on the Great Lakes, so our connection's a little spotty--full news post coming right up! In the meantime, here's some very fresh video from YouTube--savor a bit of Bucky Covington's "Back When We Were Gods" from his recent concert in York, PA. (Thanks to flutesrock346 for graciously sharing this footage--and for that great "The Wall" video, too.) Have fun! Back as soon as possible--Winnie
Ivote graciously shares some great footage from Bucky Covington's set at the Tsongas Arena last weekend--click here for a rousing "The Wall", and pop into her YouTube profile for more from that terrific show. (Thanks to Ogopogo for the heads-up.)
And as a bonus, here's a fun surprise from an unexpected place--one of the great things about Nashville, as Bucky himself and many others have mentioned, is the chance to see some impromptu live sets from just about everyone you can imagine. Bucky joined talented singer/songwriter Nathan Douglas for a sweet acoustic "Should've Been a Cowboy" duet at Legends Corner on Christmas Eve--wonder if the tourists passing by the window behind them knew what they were missing? Enjoy! (Check out Nathan's "Driven" while you're there--great tune.)
Bucky Covington performed for a very early morning crowd at the Wildhorse Saloon during Melinda Doolittle's Idol homecoming visit back in May, and noted photographer Aaron Crisler captured these shots of Bucky being interviewed on Fox 17's Tennessee Mornings show. A big thanks to Mr. Crisler for the images! (Photo by Aaron Crisler/Music City Update.com)
Happy Monday! Here's a very quick glimpse at what's happening now:
Chart news: Finally, a new number to celebrate! Bucky Covington's "It's Good to Be Us" moved up to #19 on both the Mediabase weighted and Top 500 charts Sunday evening, and the bullet beside that number is slowly and steadily growing plumper every day. Momentum is a good thing, y'all--we can take advantage of the trend with some well timed requests today. The "top X at X" countdowns are gearing up for the week, as are those nationally-syndicated shows we love. (And if your local station is sponsoring one of Dierks Bentley's Throttle Wide Open stops, be sure to give them a call and let then know how excited you are about the show--and about Bucky's opening gig-- as you make that request. Lucky you!)
Upcoming shows: There's a bit of a break before Bucky and his excellent band Bucky join Trace Adkins' American Man tour at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell, MA on 1/31 [tickets here] and at the War Memorial Arena in in Johnstown, PA on 2/1. Now's an excellent time to start checking those local fair and festival websites--those who live in or near some of the towns with no venues listed on Bucky's official site might be in for some very pleasant surprises this summer. Bucky's warm-weather plans include big high profile dates like the Stagecoach Festival in California [tickets] as well as those quintessentially American smaller-town shows. Plan ahead--you'll want to be there...
Bucky shares a laugh with TNMornings hosts Charlie Chase and Kelly Sutton.
On the tube and around the net: Many thanks to the kind elf who pointed us to this stunningPhotobucket slideshow of concert shots from the York, PA concert by the very talented Cathy322. Much appreciated!! Today's edition of The Covington Times features two of those awesome concert shots by Cathy322, as well as a word to the wise about the concert scene. Kathy's newest post at Team Covington is topped by a sweet acoustic concert photo, and she added a sneaky hint that we'll all be heeding.
Here are some repeat links to those fantastic York videos by Aikenseeker: "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" is available here, "Bible and the Belt" awaits you here, and that amazing Southern rock surprise addition to the set is right this way. Many thanks to Aikenseeker and Cathy322 for capturing the night so well.
A quick tube-related reminder for tomorrow--CMT repeats the 2007 CMA Awards again on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. ET. (A trip down memory lane, or a preview of more podium time to come? We hope it's both...)
A little more of that "behind the scenes" goodness--Bucky Covington talks about his trip to Boise, Idaho for the Keep Kids Warm benefit show in this short but fun video newly added to his YouTube profile. (Watch for a quick cameo by Ducky Medlock at the end.) Enjoy!--Winnie
(Updated to add a link to Aikenseeker's last downloadable video from Bucky's York show--thanks again to Aikenseeker for sharing the excitement!)
Bucky Covington and Ducky Medlock at the State Theatre in State College, Pennsylvania, 8/11; photo by Happydays. Be sure to see her Photobucket album of shots from the show. Thanks again, Happy!
Aikenseeker's got a terrific video from last night's York, PA show ready and waiting for you! Her clip of Bucky Covington and Rocky Covington charming the crowd at the Pullo with their rendition of "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" is available for download here. Big mega-thanks to Aikenseeker for sharing the footage!
Thanks also to Ogopogo for her kind heads-up on the tech problems at Pure 12-Pack tonight--she mentioned that the ballot's been showing an error page after voting for some time now. I have a bad habit of assuming that if a page is working for me, it must be working for everyone else, and of assuming that if it isn't working for me, it's probably my computer-operating error and not a site snafu. (Wait--that's two bad habits, isn't it? Hmmm...)
At any rate, please feel free to leave a note in comments the moment you notice a link isn't working--if there's a personal tech puzzle I can help you with, I'll gladly try, and if it's a sitewide issue causing problems for everyone, we can compare notes. This blog's here to support Bucky (and his video) online and offline, and every vote matters. Also, I promise not to do so much assuming in future... (Thanks again to Ogopogo.)
Here's a little blast from the recent past to perk up your Sunday evening--a very kind videographer has just posted four clips from Bucky Covington's performance at the WIL Jinglefest a few weeks ago. Enjoy "A Different World" and "The Wall", as well as a "unique perspective" on "It's Good to Be Us" and "American Friday Night". Our thanks to the very generous cameraman!
Thanks also go out to Buckems for her gracious alert about an upcoming TV event--GAC will air their annual Sound and Speed coverage on GAC Nights this coming week. You can catch it at 10:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, 1/22, with several repeats following. More very soon--Winnie
The day begins with a correction--although Bucky Covington's fan club briefly offered a special presale starting tomorrow for a 2/15 show at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, IL, the current event listing at the venue's site shows a Sawyer Brown show "with special guests Chris Young, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Phil Stacey, and Rissi Palmer." Bucky Covington will not be at this show--but Sawyer Brown sure will, and they're a blast live! Apologies for the confusion. (If you want to catch Bucky on stage that week, he'll be opening for Dierks Bentley in Gainesville, FL on 2/14; snag a ticket right here and enjoy a fantastic night of music...)
And speaking of fantastic nights of music in Florida (nice segue, yes?) the radio stations that sposnored Bucky's concerts in Bradenton and Tallahasse last weekend have posted three fun galleries for your viewing pleasure. 94.9 TNT in Tallahassee has some fun meet and greet shots for us. (Some of those smiling faces look delightfully familiar!) Bucky's show at Joyland in Bradenton was sponsored by 106.5 CTQ, and they've posted two sets of shots--a meet and greet gallery, and a gallery from the Joyland performance, featuring wild shots of Bucky, Rocky, the band and a rather, um, "intriguing" stage prop, among other things. Enjoy!
Enjoying Bucky on the radio is a snap--we're posting a bit early for the Tuesday morning Mediabase update, but Bucky's newest single, "It's Good to Be Us", held the #26 spot on both the weighted and Top 500 charts at last check, and his irresistible holiday charmer, "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" (available as a digital single at WalMart Music, Yahoo Music or iTunes, y'all)brightened up the weighted listings at #80. (Country Aircheck reports that Bucky's exuberant spin on that Christmas classic is now #25 in overall country holiday airplay--way to go, Bucky!)
As for TV news, you can catch Bucky's video for "It's Good to Be Us" on GAC twice today--this morning at 9:10 ET, and again at 4:33 p.m.--and we'd love to see it go higher on those video countdowns this weekend, too! Watch the video now at CMT, and vote for it on GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown, CMT's Top 20 Countdown and at CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack.
We'll wind things up for now with a quick look at some fresh new video on YouTube; Lisa/Judge of Buck Wild fame just posted an full-length version of Bucky singing a mellow, bluesy "Hometown" to a very appreciative audience at Floyd's in Tallahasse; and Kaitybeee captured Bucky dancing up a storm in Allentown in her clip of Bucky's "I'm Good" performance at the Crocodile Rock. Thanks to both kind videographers for sharing the fun!
