Bucky Covington performed for a very early morning crowd at the Wildhorse Saloon during Melinda Doolittle's Idol homecoming visit back in May, and noted photographer Aaron Crisler captured these shots of Bucky being interviewed on Fox 17's Tennessee Mornings show. A big thanks to Mr. Crisler for the images! (Photo by Aaron Crisler/Music City Update.com)
Happy Monday! Here's a very quick glimpse at what's happening now:
Chart news: Finally, a new number to celebrate! Bucky Covington's "It's Good to Be Us" moved up to #19 on both the Mediabase weighted and Top 500 charts Sunday evening, and the bullet beside that number is slowly and steadily growing plumper every day. Momentum is a good thing, y'all--we can take advantage of the trend with some well timed requests today. The "top X at X" countdowns are gearing up for the week, as are those nationally-syndicated shows we love. (And if your local station is sponsoring one of Dierks Bentley's Throttle Wide Open stops, be sure to give them a call and let then know how excited you are about the show--and about Bucky's opening gig-- as you make that request. Lucky you!)
Upcoming shows: There's a bit of a break before Bucky and his excellent band Bucky join Trace Adkins' American Man tour at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell, MA on 1/31 [tickets here] and at the War Memorial Arena in in Johnstown, PA on 2/1. Now's an excellent time to start checking those local fair and festival websites--those who live in or near some of the towns with no venues listed on Bucky's official site might be in for some very pleasant surprises this summer. Bucky's warm-weather plans include big high profile dates like the Stagecoach Festival in California [tickets] as well as those quintessentially American smaller-town shows. Plan ahead--you'll want to be there...
(Photo by Aaron Crisler/Music City Update.com) On the tube and around the net: Many thanks to the kind elf who pointed us to this stunning Photobucket slideshow of concert shots from the York, PA concert by the very talented Cathy322. Much appreciated!! Today's edition of The Covington Times features two of those awesome concert shots by Cathy322, as well as a word to the wise about the concert scene. Kathy's newest post at Team Covington is topped by a sweet acoustic concert photo, and she added a sneaky hint that we'll all be heeding.
Here are some repeat links to those fantastic York videos by Aikenseeker: "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" is available here, "Bible and the Belt" awaits you here, and that amazing Southern rock surprise addition to the set is right this way. Many thanks to Aikenseeker and Cathy322 for capturing the night so well.
A quick tube-related reminder for tomorrow--CMT repeats the 2007 CMA Awards again on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. ET. (A trip down memory lane, or a preview of more podium time to come? We hope it's both...)
Vote for Bucky: "It's Good to Be Us" is a tube delight, too--show some love for Bucky's video at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown, CMT's Top 20 Countdown, and at CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack when it's finally repaired! Bucky's doing well in the "Idol Madness" playoffs at Idol Thoughts (vote here) , and your opinion is still being sought in the "help Bucky choose his next radio single" poll at his official site.
More very soon--have a splendid Monday!

Yeppers....that is a good way to start the day...any day! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ms. Buckymania! :D
