Bucky Covington and Rocky Covington shared the mic during their "Seven Spanish Angels" duet at Bucky's Fan Club party concert in Nashville; many thanks to Diver for providing the fantastic photo. Click the image to see the entire show at Ustream, courtesy of Y'allwire and MCN.
If you missed the CMA Fest extravaganza this past week, never fear--Bucky Covington's schedule is impressively full for the rest of the month, and his Western fans will have plenty of reasons to rejoice all summer long! Here's a quick look at where you can catch Bucky and his excellent band next:
- On Thursday, June 18th, Bucky and company rock KIX on Beale, a concert series sponsored by KIX 106 in Memphis. The show is free, and there's an after-party/meet and greet at Coyote Ugly later that night--sounds like a fun way to spend a summer evening!
- Bucky's Neenah, Wisconsin fans can enjoy him at Willie Beamon's on Saturday, June 20th. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $35 for VIP seats--free for the unemployed.
- Friday, June 26th is Country Night at Flaming Gorge Days in Green River, Wyoming; spend a true Western evening with Bucky Covington, the Lost Trailers and Luke Bryan. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the gate.
- The big Country Jam festival in Grand Junction, Colorado is always a good time, and Bucky and his band will rock the Jam's Main Stage on Saturday, June 27th at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are available online for this one--bring the RV and some high SPF sunblock, and make a weekend of it!
- On Sunday, June 28th, Bucky hits the Des Moines Water Works Park for 92.5 KJJY's Big Country Bash, and at only $27.50, this mini-festival is a fantastic deal. (Admission will be $45 at the gate, so snagging your ticket online ahead of time at IowaTix is your best bet.)
As always, we recommend bookmarking Buckytown USA's concert sidebar and Bucky Covington's official tour page for the latest tour updates. (And have fun!)
Bucky Covington and Jeff Cease on stage at Billy Bob's Texas; photo by the very kind Texas Proud Bucky Fan, who enjoyed Bucky's whole Lone Star State mini-tour last month. Thanks so much!On the radio scene--well, we're posting a wee bit early for the morning Mediabase stats, but "I Want My Life Back" [hear Bucky Covington's new single at his MySpace] was #34 on the evening published charts when last we checked. The Top 30 chase is on, y'all! Join the fun--call your local country DJ with a request for Bucky today, and recruit a country-loving friend or two, if possible. (The more listeners dialing in, the merrier.) Bucky's latest was inaudible on Larry K's "Top 5 at 6" at WKML last night, but that's easily repaired with an email to country@wkml.com today...
And a reminder from yesterday about that Country Weekly cyber poll--they'd like to know your pick for country's sexiest stars, past, present and future--and there's a handy "Other"/write-in option available...
We'll wind things down with a couple of video notes--a little while ago, Bucky's official MySpace held a contest for a chance to play ROCK BAND with Bucky at the Fest, and yesterday, Bucky's blog was updated with fun video of the winners. (Stars of the the future!) And below, you'll find a repeat video by the very kind Danna Marie, requested by a very kind reader who finds our old-fashioned archives a little difficult to navigate. (No worries--I like this one too, and for those who haven't seen Bucky rock out "Evel Knievel" live--well, how many times am I gonna have to say get thee to a show? You'll be so glad you did. Enjoy! ) See you later today--Winnie
