We've still got a relatively serene news day going on, but things were anything but serene in Hot Springs over the weekend! Bucky Covington and his amazing band performed "American Friday Night" to an enthusiastic crowd at the Summit Arena, and the very talented DiamondstarBC captured the fun and generously shared it at YouTube. Thanks so much!
Slow news days mean lots of voting and requesting time--"It's Good to Be Us" ended the day with matching #11 slots on the Mediabase weighted and Top 500 charts, but the bullet on the former chart is still a bit too non-existent for our liking. Some quick calls to Lia, The Big Time with Whitney Allen , Danny Wright All Night or After Midnite this evening could make for a much more promising Tuesday and Wednesday morning. (We love big red bullets around here...)
Finally, a note about one of Bucky's earliest (and most prominent) boosters, the legendary Hazel Smith--she notes in her latest CMT.com Hot Dish column that she has been cancer-free for one year. We're all wishing her the very best!
Edited to add a link to Steve Cook's brilliant journal at ShinyBass.com--freshly updated and always a joy to read! More soon--Winnie
