Bucky Covington's American Friday Night in California...

Bucky Covington (with Rocky Covington at left) faces a gust of wind with a smile on stage in Hillsboro, Kansas; thanks to Judy Lang for graciously sharing this concert photo. Click the image to see Bucky's tour schedule at his official site.

Here's a quick reminder about tonight's planned live broadcast from Bucky Covington's show at the Rodeo Club in San Jose; KRTY's evening host Indiana Al will be on the air from 7 to midnight Pacific, and his Twitter profile is here. Those who are enjoying an evening in will definitely want to hop into the station's stream. (And for those who are headed out, we're hoping KRTY's photo album will have some fun stuff for us later this weekend...)

If you're reading this from the San Jose region, we're going to recommend you shine up those boots and go--Bucky and his excellent band rock, and it'll be a blast! Tickets are $20 at the door, and you can enjoy dance lessons with Adam from 7:30 to 9.

Another fun Fire Jam shot by Judy Lang; we dig Bucky Covington's hat, and it looks like the crowd agrees! Click the image to see his Hillsboro performance of "I Want My Life Back" at YouTube.

Bucky's single, "I Want My Life Back", is still lookin' great on the charts tonight--it's wearing a big two-digit bullet in the pm update, but (all together now) there's no such thing as a too-big bullet. (Top twenty, anyone?) Give your local live DJ a call before taking off for your Friday night party, or ring up your favorite syndicated star:

Very quick Friday news: KRTY presents Bucky Covington at the Rodeo Club in San Jose tonight...

Thanks to the very gracious Minnie for sharing her fun shot of Rocky Covington and Bucky Covington on stage last night at the Wrangler in Elk Grove, and to our good friend Moon for the sweet heads-up.

Bucky Covington's show at the Wrangler last night was a wild and wonderful up-close affair, from all reports. Congratulations to everyone who got to be there for the good times! Tonight's show in San Jose is the second of two hot indoor California stops--Bucky and his band rock the the Rodeo Club this evening. Doors open at 7:00, and tickets are $20 at the door. Huge thanks to KRTY for sponsoring this one--and be sure to tune in to Indiana Al's show tonight from 7-11 pm for a live remote.

Tomorrow, Bucky and company play the Inter-Mountain Fair in McArthur, CA (call 530-336-5695 for tickets) before heading East again for a listeners-only US99 Live Country at Joe's event in Chicago. (Bucky's MySpace calendar, Buckytown USA's concert sidebar and Bucky Covington's official tour page are all must-reads--you'll want to be there when they're coming your way...)

The excellent chart news was covered in the previous post, so for now, we'll just add this bit of encouragement: request Bucky, y'all! Talk about major momentum--"I Want My Life Back" is a beautiful sleeper that seems to be awakening in a big way (we love triple-digit-bullets) and we'll find those request calls much easier to make now. See you on the phones! Back with more very soon...

Bucky Covington's "I Want My Life Back"--big bullets are boss!

Could it be that after a long summer of chart turbulence and excellent live shows, Bucky Covington's "I Want My Life Back" is finding its home in the hearts (and ears) of radio listeners? Sure looks that way--the song starts the weekend with an impressive three-digit-bullet on the Mediabase charts today. (Yes!)

We'll have a full post for you here soon, but we had to celebrate the good news--huge thanks to you for letting your local station know you love this beautiful song. The official music video hasn't yet been made, but the one below is a stunningly-done unofficial concert montage by our extremely talented friend Buckymouse. Enjoy! News post next...

Bucky Covington and you: radio winners!

Bucky Covington on stage in Pleasanton, CA; thanks to the very talented Minnie for this terrific photo. (Click the image to find out when Bucky and his excellent band will be playing near you...)

If you're anywhere near Elk Grove, CA tonight, chances are you won't be reading this--Bucky Covington and his band are about to rock the Wrangler in a little while, and those of us who can't be there envy you! However, if you're away from California and close to your radio this evening, you've still got some extra chances to enjoy some Covingtonian goodness:

Bucky's fans in the Chicago/US99 listening area have an extra in-person opportunity to win tickets to his listeners-only September 8th Live Country at Joe's show, but time is of the essence--log off and head to JimmyV's now. Here's the scoop straight from the station's site:

Win a Four-Pack of Bucky Covington Live Country Passes with Coors Light in Countryside! When: Thursday, September 3rd from 9-11 p.m. Where: Jimmy V's 816 E. Grand Ave. Ingleside, IL

Enter to win a Four-pack of passes to the Bucky Covington Live Country concert event at Joe’s Bar, located at 940 W. Weed Street in Chicago on September 8th! Three (3) winners will be selected every fifteen (15) minutes! Must be 21 and present to win.

Bucky Covington and Steve Cook on stage in Pleasanton, CA; thanks again to Minnie for the photo.

Akron, Ohio's WQMX is also giving away tickets to Bucky's September 14th show at the Wayne County Fair in Wooster--tune in between 7 and 11, win those tickets, and you'll qualify for a chance to see Bucky in Las Vegas with a friend. (This sweepstakes runs until the 11th--keep listening!)

Finally, a heads-up on tomorrow's radio fun--Indiana Al just mentioned via Twitter that KTRY will do a live broadcast on Friday night for Bucky's concert at the Rodeo Club in San Jose, CA. (No further details yet, but we'll keep an ear out...)

Now with all that excitement brewing on the dial, the least we can do is give these fine stations (or your fine station) a call to request "I Want My Life Back", yes? Ask your live country DJ for Bucky's latest, or call your favorite syndicated host or hostess:

Lia: 1-800-577-7LIA
The Big Time w/Whitney Allen: 1-877-494-4863
After MidNite: 1-800-722-6483
CMT Radio Live w/Cody Alan: 1-866-877-4CMT

GAC Nights: 1-866-942-GAC1

Enjoy your Thursday evening!--Winnie

Quick Thursday news: Bucky Covington's Western week continues, update at Shiny Bass and more...

Bucky Covington on stage in Indianapolis last week; thanks to the very kind Judy Lang for this front-row-view shot. Click the image to check out Bucky's official concert schedule.

Another quiet day, another wild Western night! Bucky Covington and his band will rock the Wrangler in Elk Grove, CA (Sacramento area), and a good time is a given. (We're not sure if there are tickets left at post time, but check out the Wrangler's eTix page for what could be a pleasant surprise this morning. If you're going, have a blast!)

Tomorrow, Bucky and company hit the Rodeo Club in San Jose--pick your tickets up for $15 at KRTY, or pay $20 at the door. On Saturday, it's back to the beautiful fair scene--the Inter-Mountain Fair in McArthur, CA, to be exact. Call (530)336-5695 for tickets, and enjoy the California sunshine...

Bucky's brilliant bass player Steve Cook describes the group's Northwestern travels in his latest update at Shiny Bass Journal--be sure to check it out.

Jeff Cease, Rocky Covington and Bucky Covington delighted the crowd in Indianapolis a little while back; thanks again to Judy Lang for this fun photo.

Checking out the charts--it's quiet there, too, and if 31 is your favorite number, you're once again in luck. "I Want My Life Back", Bucky's beautiful current single, is sporting a respectable bullet this morning, but we always like to see 'em as plump as possible. (If your local country station has a lunchtime request show coming up, feel free to ask for Bucky this afternoon--or anytime!)

Finally, here's a wire service gallery we missed a little while back--Bucky was among the many country stars who gathered at People Magazine's Country Issue celebration back in August. Happy browsing, and have a great Thursday, everyone!
