Spend New Year's Eve with Bucky Covington...

First things first--a very kind reader sent along a bit of good news about Bucky Covington's hot new single: "Today at 9:13 am , 'I Wanna Be That Feeling' was played on WTNQ radio in LaFollette, TN". Thanks so much, C.941! If you'd like to hear it on your local country station, pick up the phone and hit that request line the moment those year-end retrospectives wind up...

Winding up the year is a lot of fun, especially if you're in or around Las Vegas. Harrah's just tweeted that big beautiful poster above; Bucky and his band will rock Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill at Harrah's Las Vegas this New Year's Eve, and you can click that graphic for all the details and ticket ptions. (No matter which one you choose, you're gonna be in for a treat. Have fun!) We'll close for now with a reminder about that GAC Top 50 of the 2000s poll: Bucky's "A Different World" is on the list, and we can vote for him once a day, every day, through January 16th. We'll be back very soon--hope your holiday break is going well!

Happy New Year! Lots more Bucky Covington news headed your way in 2011...

A year ago, Bucky Covington and his band performed "Hold a Woman" live on New Year's Eve. Will it be his next big hit? Stay tuned! Thanks to our generous friend Buckywild08 for posting this terrific clip at YouTube.

2010 has been packed full of ups and downs and wild twists and turns for Bucky Covington fans, but a new year--and a hot new album--are just around the bend. Thank you for answering the recent survey here at Buckymania...the number one request was for shorter/more frequent updates, and Santa's early gift of a new smartphone* should help make that an easier order to fill.

Bucky Covington concert shot by Buckywild08. Thanks!Jeff Cease, Bucky Covington, Steve Cook and Jeff Brown on stage for last year's New Year's Howlin' Eve concert in Winston-Salem. Thanks again to the very kind Buckwild08 for sharing!

As for Bucky himself? 2011 is shaping up to be a busy one, from the looks of things--besides the shows we mentioned in the previous post, the Snorty Horse Saloon in Columbia, MO recently tweeted that Bucky and his excellent band will rock the house there on Saturday, January 22. Be there if you can!

(We'll be back with a redesigned, streamlined and closer-to-daily Buckymania in 2011. Hope your Christmas was joyous and your New Year is filled with absolute delight.)

*I am still learning how to use this teeny tiny Android phone. Wish me luck, y'all...

Happy New Year--hope your 2010 is a smash! (video, plus a photo update...)

(Please click the image to see the wide-screen video at YouTube--thanks!)

Bucky Covington ended 2009 with a smash-hit gesture at the Hard Rock Cafe in Nashville--here's a four-minute video of the grand-reopening Guitar Smash ceremony from the kind folks at TheDistrictNashville.

Thanks to the very kind Happydays for this photo from last night's New Year's Howlin' Eve party in NC!

What's in store for this new decade? We're looking forward to yet another smash hit on the radio, of course. That'd be "Gotta Be Somebody", currently playing at a country radio station close to you--if not, and if they're spinning tunes live this holiday, call them up and request it, and vote for it at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown and CMT's Pure 12-Pack, too! In the spring, Bucky's new album, I'm Alright, will be another smash hit on the charts--we can't wait to hear it all. (Will "Lamp Post" be a bonus track? We sure hope so, and we'll keep an ear out for any word on that one...)

Bucky and his excellent band are always a smash hit live in concert--a handful of early 2010 dates have been confirmed so far, but it's safe to say this coming spring and summer will rock just as fiercely as last summer did.

Stay tuned, and hang on tight--the 2010 party's just getting started, y'all. Happy New Year!
