Friday brunch video, Bucky Covington live at the Washington County Fair (RI) 8/13, and a Twitter hello from Jimmy Wayne...

Another awesome concert photo by Mike Clifton of Local Sports Online from Bucky Covington's show at Wild Bill's back in 2007. Bucky and his band return to that venue on Saturday, February 6th; click here for details, and check out Bucky's official tour page, too.

Those who follow both Bucky Covington and Jimmy Wayne on Twitter had an enjoyable front-row (make that "front-keyboard") seat for a fun exchange between the two rising country stars. "Bucky Covington just called me showN his support 4 MMH!", Jimmy tweeted yesterday. "How cool is that! Show Bucky a whole lotta love y'all!" (MMH stands for Meet Me Halfway, Jimmy's solo walk halfway across America to raise awareness of the plight of the homeless and to raise funds for organizations that benefit homeless youth--visit the MMH page on his website to learn more.)

Bucky and Jimmy will be part of this year's
Country 92.3's Concert For Kids St Jude's benefit on February 1 at the Cadillac Ranch in Southington, CT; tickets ($35) are on sale now, and there's a limit of six per customer. Joe Nichols is the headliner, and Williams Riley, Jessica Harp, and Blaine Larsen will be there to make musical magic for a great cause.

Ducky Medlock, Jeff Cease and Bucky Covington enjoy a summer sunset at the Boone County Fair in this great photo by Judy Lang. Thanks again!

Another concert date popped up yesterday--looks like Bucky (and his fans) are in for a busy summer! He and his band will be performing at the Washington County Fair in Wyoming, RI on 8/13. More details on that and other summer shows should be emerging soon--be sure to bookmark Bucky's official site and the sidebar at Buckytown USA for concert updates. (It's never too soon to think about those long, warm days of sunshine, fair food and fantastic country music...) There's also more news about those no-longer mysterious just-announced concert dates at Buckytown, so head on over there ASAP...

We'll close with our traditional voting reminders--give Bucky and "Gotta Be Somebody" some affection on your local country station's request line and at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown and CMT's Pure 12-Pack. (Vote for Rocky Covington as your favorite percussionist at Modern Drummer's readers' poll, too!) Here's a fun video from that New Year's Howlin' Eve show to lead us out--enjoy Buckywild08's great clip of the end of Bucky and Rocky's "Seven Spanish Angels" duet. Huge thanks to her for sharing a bit of the wild night. Have a fantastic Friday!
