WQMX photos and video, a little light on "Lamp Post", Buckytown USA and Buck Wild updates, and more...

Bucky Covington, Ducky Medlock, and Jeff Brown on stage in Rockingham, NC; thanks to the very kind Judy Lang for the photo.

Hope your holidays were fantastic! Bucky Covington and company have a couple of concert stops to make before the New Year (and the new charts) get going--enjoy Bucky and his excellent band tomorrow at 7 pm at the Hard Rock Cafe Nashville’s Countdown to 2010. (Tickets are available online now.) It's all happening at 100 Broadway, Nashville, TN--be there!

And of course, that 93.1 The Wolf's New Year's Howlin' Eve party in Winston-Salem, NC is going to be an absolute blast. You'll find full details at the station's site, and you can buy tickets locally at the Embassy Suites front desk (425 North Cherry Street in Winston-Salem) or call (336) 725-3500/ email info@twincityquarter.com for more information. We'd suggest one of those luxury packages. Why not start the year with a rockin' mini-vacation?

As for past show souvenirs, WQMX has you covered--check out their Flickr slideshow from the recent Songwriter's Showcase concert, and if you haven't seen their terrific video featuring Love and Theft and Bucky, there's no time like now. Our kudos to WQMX for sharing!

Bucky Covington sings out for his Iowa fans in this great shot by Judy Lang--thanks again!

More blog-style goodness is at your fingertips-- Fran and Renee at Buckytown USA took a break from the holiday hiatus to say hello with a concert news post and a classic Opry photo by Honeygirl, and the beautiful Buck Wild blog has been updated with exclusive video from the WIRK concert. (You might need to be signed into Facebook to see the latter.)

Finally, huge thanks to Scooter Jay for shedding a little more light on "Lamp Post", the new original song Bucky mentioned in this interview at the San Diego Entertainer Magazine. Head over to comments here to read all about it--Scooter tells the story far better than I could--and if you see the talented Ducky Medlock this week, be sure to give him an extra round of applause.

Bucky's current hit, "Gotta Be Somebody", deserves our applause, too--call up your local country station's request line, and show him some New Year's affection at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown and CMT's Pure 12-Pack. More soon!

Fantastic interview; thanks for the link! Bucky performed "Lamp Post" at the WQMX show, and it's really, really good! Knowing the backstory makes it even more special...I think people will love it when they hear it!
