Steve Cook, Bucky Covington and Ducky Medlock on stage in Rockingham, NC--thanks again to Judy Lang for this beautiful concert photo. A five song digital EP from the show, Live From Rockingham, is available now at Amazon and iTunes.Bucky Covington and his excellent band are rested, refreshed and ready to go--the last leg of their extensive 2009 tour begins tonight with a show before a packed house at Harlow's Casino Resort and Hotel in Greenville, MS. Hearty congratulations to everyone who'll be there for what's bound to be a very rockin' evening! For the rest of Bucky's December travels, check out our Concert Dates section at right, or visit the up-to-the-minute sidebar at Buckytown USA.
Those of us who can't be there (sigh) can see Bucky and the rest of his Idol Season 5 friends on American Idol Rewind every weekend. LocateTV.com has a repeat of the Greensboro audition episode listed, but as is always the case with syndicated shows, it's a good idea to check your local listings. (If you've missed it, never fear-- the TV Guide Channel repeats the episodes a week after their syndicated airing.)
Bucky Covington and Jeff Cease rocked the crowd at KJJY's Big Country Bash this summer--many thanks to Janie for this fun shot. The big news this week was "Gotta Be Somebody" and its debut on GAC's video charts--we love it! Vote for Bucky now at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown and CMT's Pure 12-Pack, and help keep that sweet momentum going...
And with two rather longwinded request "encouragements" below, I'll keep this one short and sweet...but heartfelt, all the same. Bucky's new single really deserves some love and affection on the radio, so if your local country station has a Saturday night request show, a "shopper's delight" request hour during the day (love that idea!) or anything in between, give them a call or make an eQuest. They need to know we love hearing Bucky--so don't be shy!
Have a safe and outrageously fun weekend, y'all-see you soon!--Winnie
