Quick Tuesday news: Bucky Covington in Las Vegas tonight, "Gotta Be Somebody" on CMT.com...

After yesterday's big "Gotta Be Somebody" video premiere news, things are looking a little quiet at the moment--but they won't be quiet for long, especially in fabulous Las Vegas. (Are things ever really quiet in Las Vegas?) Tonight, Bucky Covington and his band play the big 102.7 The Coyote Fan Jam; that show's sold out, but there are plenty of stops left on Bucky's very busy fall and winter concert schedule. You'll definitely want to be there for one...or two...or more...

Coming up tomorrow: hear Bucky's acoustic set as part of B93's "Roofsit 2009" free concert series at Tractor Supply (4011 17 Mile Rd NE in Cedar Springs, MI ) between 6-7 pm.

We've also got a little chart news for you too, via Country Aircheck: Bucky's new single, "Gotta Be Somebody", moved up to #44 on their Activator chart, from last week's #46.

With Bucky's latest song flirting with Top 40 status and getting a boost from that exciting video, it's time, y'all...back to the request lines we go. (A freshly-released video is a perfect conversational opening for us tongue-tied, shy requesters--letting our favorite DJ know that we saw the video and would love to hear the song on our local airwaves is a graceful way of getting the message across, yes?)

WKML's "Top 5 at 6" is a perfect opportunity to get back into the requesting swing of things--send a quick email to Larry K at country @wkml.com with "Top 5 at 6" in the subject line and a request for "Gotta Be Somebody", then check out your own country station's request options. Phone calls, emails or text--no matter which way we do it, giving Bucky a round of applause is a beautiful thing. More soon--Winnie
