Bucky Covington, Ducky Medlock (center) and Rocky Covington on stage in Rockingham, NC last month; thanks again to Judy Lang for this terrific concert photo.Bucky Covington and his excellent band are returning to the road after a short, sweet break--he and labelmate Sarah Buxton are playing a free benefit show at Icabod's in Ft. Myers, FL tomorrow evening. Check out Gator Country 101.9/WWGR for more details, and bring along some canned goods...they'll go to the Harry Chapin Food Bank, and you'll have a great time while you're helping out the community!
The tour bus heads up North again for the Deerfield Township Harvest Fest in Rosehayn, NJ on Sunday--rockin' country music and fun fireworks are on the menu. Our October concert post has all the tour news to date, and Bucky's MySpace calendar, Buckytown USA's concert sidebar and Bucky's official tour page are the best bookmarks for the live-music lover. Hope to see you at a show soon!
Bucky Covington in Odessa, Texas; photo by the very kind Texas Proud Bucky Fan. Thanks!Bucky's latest single, "Gotta Be Somebody" [listen to it here courtesy of WBEE] is a standout in his live show and on your radio--write to country @wkml.com and let our good friend Larry K know you'd like to hear Bucky's new one on WKML's "Top 5 at 6". (True confession: I missed a day or two myself, but I am writing Larry right after this post. It's too much fun to hear Bucky gracing that home-state countdown!) If your local station is on board with this one ahead of schedule, let them know how you feel about it--request line calls and emails are a sweet way to say "thanks for playing the songs I enjoy."
(Yep, it's a slow news day, y'all. I'll wrap this post up for now, but check back later this evening. Have a tremendously good Thursday!--Winnie)
