Quick Tuesday news: Bucky Covington gets sampled, chart check and more...

Bucky Covington charms the crowd in Hillsboro (top) and breaks out a dance move in Des Moines (scroll down) in today's fantastic concert photos by Judy Lang. Many thanks to Judy for her kindness! Click the image to find out when Bucky and his band will be coming your way...

Another bit of news from Twitter starts off today's update--it looks like a five-song sampler from Bucky Covington's upcoming second album is making the media rounds. Howard Cohen of the Miami Herald mentioned hearing it in this tweet yesterday, and calls it "not bad so far". (We are so with him on that "need and want to hear the whole thing" page...)

The album's due October 13th, but you can enjoy Bucky's lead-off single, "I Want My Life Back", right now on your radio, courtesy of your handy local country station's request line. It endured yet another superstar bump this weekend, but it's holding on strong at #35 with a bullet, and more radio stations hopped on board this week. (No, it's not just your imagination--the country charts really are moving that slowly!) We'll hang in there and keep those phones hot all day today...

Jeff Cease, Ducky Medlock, Steve Cook and Bucky Covington on stage at the KJJY Big Country Bash; thanks to Judy Lang for capturing this one.

Luckily for us, the tour bus isn't moving slowly at all--in fact, it's busier than ever! We mentioned several newly added concert dates in this post on Sunday, Buckytown USA has updated their stellar sidebar with details on the 8/15 WSCL-sponsored Roanoke show, and the meet and greet slots are filling up faster than ever on Bucky's tour schedule page. (If you'd like an official meet and greet, be sure to sign up for Bucky's fan club and make your request online right away--those opportunities to say hi to Bucky are going fast now, and it's safe to assume they'll be going even faster after that excellent new album comes out...)

By request, Bucky Covington and his famous dance moves delight the Big Country Bash bunch in this photo by Judy Lang. Thanks for writing!

Last call for tomorrow's Chemung County Fair show in Horseheads, New York--Bucky and his band are rested and ready to rock! Tickets ($30 for track and box seats, $25 for grandstand, $15 bleachers) can still be purchased by phone at (607) 734-1203, and you can check out where you'll be sitting online, via the handy seating chart at the fair's website. Listen to 99.5 WOKN for last-minute ticket giveaways, and have fun...

We'll wrap things up with a reminder about the write-in voting opportunity at GAC--their Top 20 My First Time Countdown ballot doesn't include Bucky's video for "A Different World", but they'd like to know which videos we feel should have been on the list. Write to them at gacnews@gactv.com with "Top 20 My First Time Countdown" in the subject line, and put in a good word for Bucky's beautiful debut.

See you very soon--happy Tuesday!--Winnie
