Quick Sunday news: New Bucky Covington concert dates, chart check and more...

Thanks again to Minnie for this great shot from Bucky Covington's performance at the Alameda County Fair in California. Click the image for a newly-updated list of Bucky Covington concert dates at his official MySpace, and check out the show for yourself!

A very quick look at today's news:

We've got some more concert dates to look forward to, y'all. Bucky Covington and his excellent band have been doing some hardcore traveling this year, delighting fans from coast to coast...and the tour bus is bound to be coming your way soon! We covered a few new shows earlier this week in this post--here are the latest additions:

October 9th, Ft. Myers, FL: The MySpace calendar has this one listed as "WWGC Acoustic Event", but we think that might be a typo; there's a WWGR/Gator Country 101.9 in southwest Florida, and a WWGC in Alabama that appears to be an AM religious and/or Latino station. (We'll try to get more details on this one for you as they're released...)

October 10th, Mount Laurel, NJ: Catch Bucky at Prospectors restaurant as part of 92.5 XTU's Prospectors Concert Series, co-sponsored by Guitar Center. From the station's site: For more information and dinner reservations call Prospectors at 856-235-1121 or visit www.prospectorsrestaurant.com.

November 17th, Asheville, NC: (the site says "more info to come"...)

December 10th, Chicago, IL: Bucky and company will do a US99 radio show--no details yet, but keep checking the station's site for updates.

Bookmark that MySpace calendar, Buckytown USA's concert sidebar and Bucky Covington's official tour page, and get ready for some hot live music as the weather cools down...

Ducky Medlock and Bucky Covington share a word on stage in Merced, California; thanks again to Minnie for the photo.

On the radio, Bucky's new single, "I Want My Life Back" has very likely already been a part of your Sunday morning, courtesy of Kix Brooks' American Country Countdown and Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40. It's gracing the Mediabase charts at #35 with a bullet as of post time, and we'd love to see that bullet plump up nicely over the next few days! After the syndicated countdowns are done in your neck of the woods, consider a well-timed request or two--sharing Bucky's excellent song with your friends and neighbors in your listening area is a sweet Sunday afternoon audio gift.

Finally, our hearts and prayers go out to all who were affected by yesterday's storm related stage collapse at the Big Valley Jamboree in Alberta, Canada. Country performers, country fans, crew workers, event staff and emergency personnel brave all kinds of conditions for love of the music, and we truly appreciate each and every one.

Take care, and have a beautiful Sunday--Winnie

Hi, I'm glad I found your site! I've been trying to get info on the Bucky Ft. Myers show also, I definitely think it's a typo. However, I called the Gator Country Radio station, and he's not scheduled there. What next?
