If you're in the mood for some excellent live rockin' country music, the Neshoba County Fair in Philadelphia, Mississippi is the place to be tomorrow night! Bucky Covington and his band are the headliners, the show starts at 8 pm, and a good Southern-style time is assured. Radio station 97 OKK in Meridian may have some souvenirs for us in the coming days; stay tuned and feel free to request "I Want My Life Back" while you're listening...
Bucky's next few tour stops include the Marion County Fair Fire Jam in Hillsboro, Kansas on Friday (tickets), the Chemung County Fair in Horseheads, NY on Wednesday, August 5th, and the Fayette County Fair in Dunbar, PA on Thursday, August 6th. Steve Cook, the multi-talented bassist in Bucky's band, updated his Shiny Bass Journal last night--his account of his exceptionally busy life on the road is always good reading.
A quick chart check: the morning Mediabase report shows "I Want My Life Back" [hear Bucky Covington's new single at his MySpace] at #33 with a bullet--a hop from Sunday morning's #34 spot, and a very short step to Top 30. We'll keep requesting! (It'd be great to have this week be the week for Bucky's next big chart milestone...)
