Bucky Covington's latest Top 40 Sunday begins (updated)

More concert goodness from Texas! Texas Proud Bucky Fan enjoyed Bucky Covington's show in San Angelo, where he and his excellent band rocked the place with "Mexicoma" last week. (Something about that song just says "summer", yes?) Thanks to Texas Proud Bucky Fan for graciously sharing this video at MySpace!

If you're enjoying some Sunday morning country radio fun, chances are you've heard Bucky Covington's "I Want My Life Back" on your airwaves--the song is #39 with a growing red bullet on the Mediabase published charts and #40 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs list. Yep, Billboard's online charts stop at #25, but here's a sneaky way to follow along--bookmark American Country Countdown, which proudly states that it's "the only countdown that brings you Billboard Magazine's Official Top 40 Country Chart"*, and voila. Bucky's new at #40 on ACC Top 40 today, but he'll be rising like a rocket as our requests add to that countdown momentum this week. The song--and Bucky--got a nice intro by Kix Brooks. Hop over to the ACC Top 40 site for an interactive map, and find the show at a local or streaming station near you.

(*Edited to thank a kind reader who gave even more info on ACC Top 40 and the Billboard charts; looks like ACC Top 40 uses the previous week's Billboard ranking. "I Want My Life Back" is currently gracing the 6/13 Billboard Hot Country Songs chart at #38, which is a nice jump up, indeed. Kudos to Diver for sharing the news.)

Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40 will also be playing "I Want My Life Back" on a station near you today--it's the second week for the song on Bob Kingsley's chart, and he's also got a handy station finder for you. Happy listening!

The CMA Fest fun is revving up in Nashville--hit the fest's official site for all the details you'll need, or check out our guide for Bucky's fans to find out when and where you'll be able to say hi to Bucky in person. Immediately after Bucky and the band play the Riverfront Stages, they'll head out to the Winstock Country Music Festival in Winstead, Minnesota, where they'll rock the Main Stage at 4:45 pm on Saturday, June 13th. VIP seating is sold out, but there are GA and Reserved tickets available--sounds like a great lineup this year.

Back with more later today--enjoy this summer Sunday!--Winnie
