Quick news: Bucky Covington gives thanks at Country Music Tattle Tale and more...

A kind reader asked for "A Different World" for the holidays--happy to oblige! Here's a great acoustic version from a few years back--Bucky Covington performed his first hit for a very animated crowd in El Paso, TX.  Thanks to for posting this one at YouTube!

Things are quiet during the holiday weekend, but there's a lovely roundup of country stars and their Thanksgiving thoughts posted for your enjoyment at Country Music Tattle Tale this Black Friday evening.  Bucky Covington is among the performers featured;  head on over there now to find out what he gave thanks for on turkey day.

Bucky also gave thanks for the hard work and dedication of firefighters and first responders everywhere, via Twitter.  You and I still have time to show our thanks by taking the pledge at AlarmPledge.com, and sharing it via social media.  (If you haven't done so already, enter the CMA Fest sweepstakes on that page...Bucky will be there this summer, and if you're the winner, you could be there for free!)

Bucky Covington and Rocky Covington rock the crowd in Hillsboro, Kansas; thanks again to the very kind Judy Lang for sharing the fun.

You don't have to wait until summer to enjoy Bucky and his band live, of course--there are plenty of winter dates coming right up!  The next show on his eOne calendar happens on December 1st at the County Line Saloon in Melbourne, FL; tickets are $15, and they'll be $20 on the day of the show.  He'll also be part of the KTEX 10 Man Jam on Saturday, December 8th at Winks Saloon in Brownsville, TX--check out the station's site for the next local ticket locations.  We're guessing that some new Help The Good Guys events will also be on the horizon soon, so stay tuned...

Bucky's music is always as close as your local country radio station's request line, and his rockin' video for "Drinking Side of Country" is just a vote away at GAC's Top 50 Videos of the Year and at CMT Pure's Pure 12 Pack. Bucky's new single also makes a great gift, and from now until 12/31, all proceeds from downloads of Bucky's current single, "Drinking Side Of Country",  will benefit the International Association of Firefighters Relief Fund for East Coast fire fighters who suffered losses during Hurricane Sandy.

We'll be back on Monday-or sooner, if breaking news happens!  In the meantime, feel free to follow Buckymania on Twitter for updates 24/7 , and have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
