Quick news: Big crowds in Chattanooga, Bucky Covington's busy Monday morning, and a tribute to a beloved Town...

Rocky Covington, Ducky Medlock and Bucky Covington shared a smile with the crowd in Chattanooga in this sunny shot by the very gracious Hildi--thanks so much!  Bucky and his band have plenty of live dates ahead; check out his official calendar for details.

Tristin Greer and Bucky Covington in Chattanooga; thanks again to the very kind Hildi for the photo.

Bucky CovingtonHelp the Good Guys and the Chattanooga Firefighters Association Local 820 had a big, big turnout for last Saturday's pancake breakfast in Chattanooga for the benefit of Tristin Greer--and by all accounts, everyone involved had a fantastic time!  There were many news reports on the event, including this story (complete with a cute snippet of video--love that dancer) at Chattanoogan.com, and an article with photo at WRCB-TV.  Today, the Help The Good Guys Facebook wall was updated with exclusive photos from the breakfast.  Many, many thanks to everyone who was able to be a part of this fun fundraiser!

Bucky's busy schedule brought him to two different morning TV shows in his hometown of Nashville today--first, he visited with WZTV Fox 17's Nick Paranjape and Kelly Sutton on Tennessee Mornings, where he and Ducky Medlock performed "Drinking Side of Country" and "A Father's Love (The Only Way He Knew How)".

In the interview segment, Bucky spoke about his work with Help The Good Guys,  making music with Shooter Jennings, and his upcoming Music With a Purpose benefit performance at the Stardust Drive-In Theater  in Watertown, TN on 11/17.  (He also mentioned that the proceeds from iTunes downloads of "Drinking Side of Country" through 12/31 will benefit firefighters and their families who suffered loss due to Hurricane Sandy--so we'll mention it, too.)  Bucky's three segments are all available for your viewing pleasure at the show's video page--enjoy!

Later this morning, Bucky stopped in at WSMV's More at Midday.  Music With a Purpose shared this great shot of Bucky with hostess Kacy Hagerty via Twitter, and it's a safe bet that more will pop up on the show's Facebook wall fairly soon...

And now, a bit of sudden, sad news...it looks like our talented friend Fran has made the decision to close up shop at Buckytown USA.  All of us who've so enjoyed her posts, updates and exclusives over the years are going to miss that blog fiercely.  We hope she'll be back online someday, but in the meantime, we're wishing her all the love and peace in the world. Bless you, Fran, and thank you for Buckytown and for being an awesome blogger bud!

As always, we invite you to hop on in and show Bucky's music some love--request "Drinking Side of Country" at your local country radio station, and vote for Bucky and Shooter at GAC's Top 50 Videos of the Year and at CMT Pure's Pure 12 Pack. Have a great night!
