Quick news: Bucky Covington talks about "Drinking Side of Country" (video), a roundup at CMT, and Kellie Pickler's new look for a cause...

Bucky Covington Tweeted the link to this "Track by Track" video earlier today; in it, he talks about the inspiration behind his current hit song, "Drinking Side of Country" , and the joy of teaming up with Shooter Jennings for the single. We're hoping there are more "track by track" videos on the way for all the songs on Good Guys!  (You can pre-order Bucky's long-awaited second album now at Amazon, iTunesBucky's official site, and at the store.  It'll hit the shelves on September 11th.)  The album was also part of Chris Parton's roundup of fall releases at, and Bucky's work with Help The Good Guys  also gets a positive mention.

Bucky, Shooter and Kellie Pickler are the stars of the "Drinking Side of Country" video, and Bucky and Kellie will reunite for a special Hometown Country concert at the Cole Auditorium in Hamlet, NC on Thursday, October 25th and Friday, October 26th. We'll link again to the show's info flyer (.pdf), and to the venue's box office page, and we'd suggest you snag your seats very soon!

Kellie's in the news today for a very sweet reason.  She and her close friend Summer Holt Miller are sharing a new look and an important message:  "If this compels even one person to change their mentality toward waiting until the age of 40 for their mammogram, then it will be worth it."

As always, feel free to join us and vote for Bucky!  Request him at your local country radio station, and give "Drinking Side of Country" a round of applause at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown, CMT Pure's Pure 12 Pack and CMT's Top 20 CountdownSee you very soon!
