Bucky Covington rocks MD and more (8/27 update via Buckytown)

Sawyer Brown's Mark Miller and Bucky Covington wave to the hometown audience at Bucky's show in Rockingham. (Mark Miller produced both of Bucky's albums; the second, I'm Alright, is due in early 2012. Many thanks to the very kind Jackie Blue for the beautiful photo!

Our good friends at Buckytown USA posted a Bucky Covington concert date in their sidebar that we hadn't seen elsewhere, and we wanted to be sure to let you know about it, too. The Recher Theatre in Towson, MD (directions) has a September 12th show listed on their site; tickets for Bucky's performance are available now online at MissionTix. This is an all-ages affair, so bring the whole bunch!

Bucky's next two shows are bound to be a blast, as well--he and his band will rock the Alpena County Fair (625 S 11th Ave in Alpena, MI ) on August 30th, and the Wyoming County Labor Day Celebration in Pineville, WV on September 1st, opening for Aaron Tippin. (A quick look at the archives reveals that this is a return engagement for both performers--they were the stars of the same event back in 2007. Lucky West Virginians!) Update via Buckytown USA, 8/27: It looks as though this one's not listed on Bucky's official schedule, and the date for Mr. Tippin's performance is now September 3rd. Thanks to Fran for the news--we'll keep an eye out for more info!

We'll close with a WV memory that's sure to raise a smile--here's Bucky and band performing Sawyer Brown's country classic "Thank God for You" in Sutton way, way back in 2008. A lot's changed since then, but Bucky's live show still rocks--get to one soon! (Thanks to jdkwv for sharing the video at YouTube.)
