A rare treat for an intimate crowd: Bucky Covington (with Jeff Cease and Ducky Medlock) performed his beautiful single "A Father's Love" for a WIVK-FM 107.7 Cubicle Concert in Knoxville. (Our opinion--if not for the label woes at the time of release, this one would have been a massive chart hit. Bucky's next chart hit? Coming right up in 2011...)
Here's a quick look at this weekend's happenings:
Bucky Covington's most recent single "A Father's Love (The Only Way He Knew How)" made Billboard's Top 100 Country Songs of 2010 year-end list. Congratulations to Bucky!
An unconfirmed but likely 2011 summer concert date rumor has been making the rounds for some time now--Bucky and company may play the Bear Tooth Rally (site mildly unsafe for work) in Roberts, Montana on July 15th. We'll update ASAP...
Christmas has always been a blast with Bucky Covington--here's a bit of nostalgia from that sweet surprise GAC Christmas tour in 2006. (Photo by the very kind dbrosch.)In the meantime, while the winter winds are blowing, why not--ahem--request Bucky at your local country radio station? His rowdy version of "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town" fits right into every holiday playlist and it's easy to ask for...
In closing (yep, shorter posts in 2011, I promise!) the votes have all been counted, and GAC's Top 50 Videos of the year are all chosen. Will Bucky's "Gotta Be Somebody" be on the list? Airtimes are right here: good luck, Bucky!
See you soon...
