Here's a treat we're looking forward to enjoying more often in 2011--Bucky Covington (with Ducky Medlock and Beau Hendrich) performing a beautiful acoustic version of "Hold a Woman" on live television. This video comes courtesy of WCNC in Charlotte, where Bucky stopped in on Thursday morning to promote his Whisky River show. (Here's the direct link to the Charlotte Today video page, just in case things go a bit wobbly tech-wise.)
During the brief interview, Bucky mentioned that his next single might be out in January or thereabouts, and that his very long-awaited and much anticipated second album could be out in the spring of next year. We are so looking forward to buying that new set of tunes! While we're waiting, there are three more live shows on Bucky's 2010 schedule as of post time--he and his excellent band will play the USC Bundy Auditorium in Lancaster, SC on Friday night. (Call 803-286-1145 or email p.arts@lancastercitysc.com for details; thanks to Hildi.)
On Saturday, the 20th, Bucky and and Mark Chesnutt are the stars of the Christmas Angels Benefit in Winchester, Tennessee. For tickets and info, call (931) 967-2201 or (931) 308-6394 and check out Bucky's official site. And on December 7th, celebrate Steve Cook's birthday with Bucky and a bevy of special musical guests at the 3rd & Lindsley Bar & Grill in Nashville; see this post for more details. (The sidebar at Buckytown USA is a treasure trove of live show data--if you haven't done so already, add Fran and Renee's stellar site to your bookmarks.)
Finally--you guessed it--be sure to show some love for Bucky's "Gotta Be Somebody" video at GAC. Polling for the Top 50 Videos of 2010 countdown ends on November 30th. More soon!
Great!!!
