Weekend news: Bucky Covington's #1 at CMT's 12-Pack, and some random photo links...

Bucky Covington rocked the crowd in Biloxi, MS earlier this month; thanks again to the very gracious Happydays for this concert shot.

Just a couple of quick reminders for a very busy Saturday:

Congratulations to Bucky Covington on another fantastic #1 win at CMT's Pure 12-Pack this week! Voting for next week's show is underway now--click here to show Bucky some love for "Gotta Be Somebody", and be sure to stop by GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown, too.

It's about that time, believe it or not--a friend says she heard Bucky's rowdy rendition of "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" while shopping, and you can hear it (and buy it) at iTunes from the less-frantic comfort of your own computer chair. (Um...did I shamelessly mention that Bucky's new digital EP, Live From Rockingham, makes a delightful gift? I did? All righty then...)

We covered Bucky's upcoming concerts in yesterday's morning post--no news yet about non-package ticket sales for Bucky's show at the New Year's Howlin' Eve party sponsored by 93.1 The Wolf's in Winston-Salem NC, but we'll keep digging.

Lovin' it live and loud! Ducky Medlock, Jeff Cease and Bucky Covington in concert in West Palm Beach; thanks to the very talented Judy Lang for this photo.

Finally, we'll close with some random--very random--goodies I found as I was arranging my old bookmark files and looking for new info. Not sure why these particular links never made it to the blog--scooped by hotter news, perhaps?--but here they are...

Shutterstock.com has a few vintage concert shots from Bucky's Throttle Wide Open show with Dierks Bentley, as well as a couple of CMA Fest '09 souvenirs.

I'm really sorry I missed this one--because I sure would have tried to snag this little piggy from the A Swine Evening charity auction last spring. (Check out the blond mustache!)

Charlie Daniels and Bucky Covington? It's not a combination that's graced a stage (yet), but Bucky did get a chance to meet this country legend and pose for a shot that you can enjoy on Mr. Daniels' website.

And last but not least, something to get us all nostalgic for summer and the festival season. (Sigh--is it June yet?) These shots from Bucky's Countryfest 2009 concert in Dauphin MB (click "next" to see the other two) were shared by 730 CKDM. Huge thanks to the station for posting them, and if you're eager for some live excitement from Bucky and his excellent band, be sure to bookmark his official site's concert page and stay tuned--after a break, the guys will be ready to rock your world in 2010.

Have a great weekend!
