Bucky Covington (and a great hat) on stage in West Palm Beach earlier this month--thanks again to Judy Lang for this terrific photo.Had enough turkey? Live country music is fun and calorie-free--better yet, cheering, dancing and having a good ol' time is one of the best ways to work off all of yesterday's trimmings. Here's a quick look at Bucky Covington's upcoming concert calendar:
Your next opportunity to see and hear Bucky and his excellent band is coming up on December 5th at Harlow's Casino Resort and Hotel in Greenville, MS. Call 1-866-524-5825 for tickets and info--rumor has it seats are going pretty quickly.
A mere $10 gets you into KUBL's Low Dough Christmas Show in Salt Lake City, UT on Wednesday, December 9th--buy your seats online through Smith's Tix, and celebrate the season with Bucky, Phil Vassar, and Bomshel. (Three high-energy acts there--should be a rockin' show!)
The KSON Carols by Candlelight concerts on December 11th and 12th are a local tradition--proceeds benefit the Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego, and Bucky, LeAnn Rimes, the Little River Band, Jordan Pruitt, Buck Howdy and Beat Boy are this year's star performers. Get your tickets for one--or both--shows at the Carols by Candlelight site.
Looking ahead to 2010, if you're planning to go to Bucky's concert at the 8 Seconds Saloon in Indianapolis on 1/15, better hop over to Ticketmaster now--the buzz is that there's going to be a huge crowd converging upon this relatively intimate venue.

Photo by Wendy Newcomer, GACTV.com.Here's a link I've been meaning to post for a while--I'll blame it on "pre-holiday haziness". (Sounds plausible, yes?) Bucky and his Lyric Street labelmates Love and Theft were part of the excellent lineup at the Grand Ole Opry on August 11th, and audio of the entire show is archived at WSM. (Go to "Video and Archives" and click "Audio Archives" for the Opry menu.) Enjoy!
This summer at the Opry, Bucky sang "I Want My Life Back" and "Giants", a new song from his upcoming album, I'm Alright--his current hit, "Gotta Be Somebody", is available via country radio request lines from coast to coast. Call your local station and give Bucky a boost! We can vote for his video at for GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown and CMT's Pure 12-Pack, too. And while I'm busy being utterly shameless, how about a reminder that his brand new digital EP, Live From Rockingham (available at Amazon and iTunes) makes a great gift for the country music fan on your list?
Updated: Thanks to the very kind folks at BrosCovington for the Twitter heads-up on this one--Medrock, Ducky Medlock and Rocky Covington's eceletic (and awesome) musical collaboration, will be performing live tonight at Coach’s Grill, 127 SE Broad Street in Murfreesboro, TN. Hope you can be there for what's sure to be a fantastic time...
More soon--happy Friday, and be careful shopping out there!
