Bucky Covington sat down with B93's Neal Dionne earlier today for an interview in Nashville, in advance of this week's CMA Awards. A hearty thanks to Mr. Dionne for sharing this at YouTube.
The first of this evening's chart reports is in, and there's good news: Bucky Covington's new single, "Gotta Be Somebody", is being heard on nine more country stations this week. (If yours is among the new ones, let us know!) We've got a little while to wait before the weekly Billboard and Country Aircheck charts pop up, so be sure to check back for updates to this post.
In the meantime, here's a page to bookmark for Wednesday night--CMT will once again cover the red-carpet revelry at the CMA Awards, beginning at 7:00 PM ET/PT. The award show itself will air on ABC at 8:00-11:00 PM/ET, live and loud--be sure to tune in! Chart news coming right up--Winnie
Updated: Here's a little more CMA Awards interview goodness from our friends at K-FROG 95.1. Enjoy!
Updated again: Thanks to the kind anon who let us know that "Gotta Be Somebody" is now on the ballot at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown! We can vote once per day/IP address--so be sure to tell every country-loving friend, relative, co-worker, random stranger, etc. to come join us at the polls. See you there...
Chart update: Bucky's new single has moved to #56 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart, up two notches from last week's #59 debut. It's also #42 on the Country Indicator chart for the second straight week. Lookin' good!
