Thanks to the very kind Buckyroo for today's striking action shots from that now-legendary homecoming concert in Rockingham, NC; here's Bucky Covington rocking the hometown crowd. (Click the image to find out when Bucky and his band will rock your hometown this fall.)The quiet times are almost over--Bucky Covington and his excellent band are back on stage tomorrow, when their show at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress in Columbus, OH is sure to please. (Tickets for this general admission concert are $20 at Ticketmaster; admission to the Congress is separate.)
While we're talkin' about Bucky's tour, here are a few quick reminders:
That October 21st WYRK Acoustic Concert with Bucky, Justin Moore and Chris Young is just around the corner; tickets ($20) are available at the Center for the Arts ticket office, all Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.com or by phone at 1-800-745-3000. (There's a quick quote from Bucky in the Batavia, NY Daily News Online today--it sounds like that singalong fun is a mutual joy...)
There's still time to get in on the automotive and musical excitement at the Kroger On Track for the Cure 250 in Memphis, TN on October 24, when Bucky and his band will perform after the race. More info and tickets are available at 1-866-40-SPEED and at MemphisMotorsportsPark.com.
There's also time to get in on the advance ticket discount offered by the Jacksonville Fair, but you'll want to move fast--it ends 11/3! Bucky and his band play the fair on November 10th , and the show is free with fair admission. Invest $10 more, and you'll enjoy that up-closer VIP seating.
We'll round out the live reminders with two recently-updated additions to the calendar. Bucky will be part of the the 2009 Kiss Country Guitar Jam on November 17th at the Orange Peel in Asheville--tickets for this benefit event ($20) are on sale now at the Kiss Country studios, the Orange Peel box office, and via TheOrangePeel.net. There might still be a few $99 VIP packages left--these include meet and greet passes, dinner with the stars of the show, free merch and such--and they can only be purchased at the Kiss Country studios (13 Summerlin Road in Asheville).
Rocky Covington on stage at the Rockingham homecoming show; thanks again to Buckyroo for this great shot. And looking forward to the holidays (!), be sure to catch Bucky and a cavalcade of country stars in beautiful Salt Lake City, where KUBL's Low Dough Christmas Show takes place on on Wednesday, December 9th. Phil Vassar, Bucky Covington, and Bomshel are on the bill, and the low dough price for your seat is $5 for the first 2500 tickets sold and $10 from then on. Use the promo code "BULL" when you buy your tickets--click here for the links you'll need, and have fun!
Finally, we'll offer one of those good news/bad news/good news again bulletins--Bucky's excellent current single, "Gotta Be Somebody" [hear it in this post, courtesy of WBEE] got some much-desired syndicated airtime on CMT Radio Live w/Cody Alan last night. The, well...other news was that it was a songfight, and while the final totals were respectably close, the new one by Rodney Atkins eventually took the prize. However (good news again!) Bucky's strong showing there bodes well for future syndicated airplay, especially after the long-awaited music video hits country fans' TV screens. For now, be sure to support Bucky's latest with an email to country @wkml.com today, and let our longtime friend Larry K know you'd like to hear "Gotta Be Somebody" on WKML's "Top 5 at 6".
Have a terrific Thursday!--Winnie
