A request reminder, a Twitter glitch, and a little bit of mystery in Fort Myers...

Bucky Covington on stage in Dothan, Alabama; thanks to our good friend Happydays for the photo.

Many thanks to Indybcfan, who very kindly let us know we've got a mystery show on our hands! On Sunday, we posted a set of new Bucky Covington concert dates from his MySpace calendar, and the October 9th show in Ft. Myers, FL was listed as "WWGC Acoustic Event". We found a WWGR/Gator Country 101.9, and a WWGC in Alabama (an AM religious station), but as it turns out, neither one appears to be the sponsor--kudos to Indybcfan for giving WWGR a call. If you're in the area and you have more information, please leave it in comments...Bucky's Florida fans will be grateful, indeed.

Bucky's return to the Grand Ole Opry stage is coing up on Tuesday the 11th, and it's the subject of the latest blog post at his MySpace--hop over there now for details on a very special night of country music. Those of us who can't be there can listen to the show on WSM--and if you're listening to country radio right now, why not put in a good word for his #35 and rising (with a bigger bullet--yes!) "I Want My Life Back" on your local station? Call your local DJ, or contact the syndicated star on the air where you are:

Finally, if you're following Buckymania on Twitter, you'll have noticed the lack of tweets lately--I'm apparently one of the many who still are suffering tech repercussions from yesterday's big glitch. (I'll keep working on it--it's fun passing along good news to you!) Have a beautiful Friday night, everyone--Winnie

Your Bucky pictures posted at Buckymania have been particularly beautiful lately. Thank you and the kind and generous photographers for sharing. Is this increase in clarity because of your new page design or do I just miss seeing Bucky? BF

  3. Hi, BF and Anon! :)

BF, thank you so much for your sweet compliment, and I agree about the talented photographers Bucky's fortunate enough to have among his fans. Hope the layout showcases their terrific images well. (And yes, I am guessing that missing the fun of seeing Bucky and company live plays a part...sounds like it's time for you to check out another show! :)

Anon, thanks for the heads-up on Steve's bonus post. He's a pleasure to read, and it'll be linked in the morning for sure. Much appreciated!
