Quick Wednesday news: Bucky Covington's Top 40 summer begins, ticket alert and more...

Bucky Covington "Mexicoma"

Thanks to the very talented Danna Marie for posting this one at MySpace--Bucky Covington and his excellent band recently completed a four-stop sweep through Texas, and this rockin' "Mexicoma" from their Graham Central Station gig in Odessa is a highlight. Kudos to Danna Marie for sharing the fun and to Diver for the heads-up!

Here's a quick bullet-style look at what's happening today:

"I Want My Life Back" [hear Bucky Covington's new single at his MySpace] continues to make the most of its new and solid top 40 status; it's currently #40 with a bullet on the Mediabase published charts today, and that bullet's looking plumper--but of course, the bigger the bullet, the better! We'll keep requesting--lunchtime request hours, drivetime shows and your local Top X at X are all waiting, so flip open that phone and give Bucky a boost. (And be sure to write to our good friend Larry K at country@wkml.com now and request "I Want My Life Back" for WKML's "Top 5 at 6", too--Fayetteville's shown us a lot of Southern hospitality through the years and it's fun to repay the compliment...)

Today marks the end of that Austism Speaks charity auction at WTCK--the winner gets prizes including tickets to Bucky's sold-out Story Teller acoustic show at Six Flags New England on June 6th, a meet and greet and a rollercoaster ride with Bucky. But you've gotta move fast: the bidding ends at 5pm. Good luck!

Thanks again to Bucky Wild for the lovely request banner! Please click to view full size.

Today--well, tonight--also brings us the results of the Top 20 Songs of Summer poll on GAC. Bucky's exhilarating "It's Good to Be Us" video was one of the contenders, and we're hoping it'll be high on the list! Tune in at 8 pm ET (repeat times here) to see how Bucky fared.

And in ticket alert news, snag your seats now for Bucky's July 10th concert at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, CA--tickets ($35 general, $55 VIP) are available online and the show is one of a few sit down/dress up occasions on Bucky's busy summer concert schedule.

Finally, here's a bit of fashion news, sort of. Bucky's Official Fan Club has just unveiled a new offer, and it looks like the "Buckaneers" name is here to stay--it's branded right across the front of a stylish new T-shirt that is available to members only! Head over to Bucky's official site for more details, and if you've got flexible plans, there's still time to get a will-call ticket to Bucky's first ever Fan Club Party in Nashville on June 10th.

More CMA Fest updates coming up later--stay tuned and have a great Wednesday morning!

So happy that we are staying as the "Buckaneers"!!! Even though I tried to accept that we may have a new name, I just couldn't see ourselves as anything else!

Thank you Bucky, MSN, & O Seven! :)

  4. Kerri, you and I are in the same boat--after all this time as "Buckaneers", it would have felt very strange for the fan club to have been called anything else. Joining you in those thanks. Glad it all worked out!
