Another great performance by Bucky Covington and his band, captured by a generous fan--here's Bucky and the band performing his new hit "I Want My Life Back" at the Neon Armadillo, in a show presented by K105 in Ft. Wayne. Thanks to Josiah for sharing this clip at MySpace!
Bucky Covington's so busy this summer--check out that tour schedule--that it'll be hard keeping up with him. Fortunately, his official site wants to help you out with that, and they're sweetening the deal with a prize every month. The June prize is stylish and practical--go to BuckyCovington.com to learn how you can sign up for his mailing list and be in the running for an autographed distressed flex hat. Entries end on Friday, July 3rd at noon CST, so hurry and good luck! (Thanks also to MCN and to all who helped save "Buckaneers" as the fan club nickname--it's been the favored tag since the early Idol days, and traditions are always nice to carry on...)
Sadly, one tradition that won't be with us any longer is our weekly Radio & Records update; the trade publication, which began before many of us were born (1973, to be exact), ceased operations as of today, and the June 5th issue will be its last. Our thoughts and thanks are with the 40-plus people who entertained and informed us every day at R&R--all the best to you.
Last but not least, here's a little concert eye-candy to wind up your coffee break--Bucky and the band rocked San Angelo, Texas in fine style a little while ago, and concertgoer Wade posted some terrific photos from the show at MySpace. Kudos to Wade for sharing these--enjoy!
If there's a drive-time request show on the country radio station near you...oh, y'all know what I'm gonna say. Request Bucky, have a safe trip home, and I'll see you later tonight!--Winnie
