Monday news: concert memories, autumn chartgazing and more...

By request, Bucky Covington and Shaun Bayles (at left) share the spotlight at the Turning Stone Resort, 7/27; photo by the very kind Janie. You can enjoy more of her beautiful concert shots here. And below, Rocky Covington takes a break at last weekend's Cancun Cantina show in a wistful portrait by Aikenseeker. Many thanks to Janie and Aikenseeker for sharing their great images! Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video is available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy, iTunes , WalMart Music and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. An autographed copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered while supplies last at his official site or via his official fan club.

Summer may be winding down, but Bucky Covington's summer tour heads into the fall as a hotter-than-ever ticket, indeed! Many new and longtime fans have been cheering for Bucky, Rocky, Don, Shaun and Hans live and in person these past few months, and they're graciously sharing lots of awesome photos, videos and memories with all of us. Martha74's excellent recap at the Bucky Covington fan thread at AI.com is a must-read this morning--she and her family enjoyed Bucky's show at the Appalachian Fair on Saturday, and her description of Bucky's time onstage is sheer delight. Be sure to check out her beautiful Photobucket album of images from the show--looks like an exciting night!

There's a helpful, cautionary note in Martha's recap, as well--although there was no meet-and-greet listed on the official tour page at Bucky's site, one did happen after all. If you're interested in saying hello to Bucky at a show on the official list without the little "open" box beside it, it sounds as though the best policy is to come early and keep your eyes peeled. And for fun, consider the intriguing musical recommendation at the bottom of the page--would Elvin Bishop's soulful, bluesy 1976 hit "Fooled Around and Fell In Love" be a fantastic fit for Bucky and company? I'm gonna have to vote yes. (Click here if you'd like to hear the original version for yourself....)

On the very next page, lovincon shares a sweet review of her time at the DeKalb Cornfest with Bucky and Sawyer Brown. Even with the recent serious flooding in the area (you can read more about that here), it sure sounds like the Cornfest attendees had a wonderful time. And for some very fresh DeKalb video, hop over to YouTube this morning, where a generous festgoer has uploaded Bucky's performance of "American Friday Night" from the Sunday afternoon show.

And speaking of fresh video, here's that treat from Aikenseeker we spoke of late last night! She captured Bucky's beautiful performance of "Hometown" at the Cancun Cantina over the weekend and has kindly made it available here--enjoy! Huge thanks to Aikenseeker, Martha74, luvincon and everyone who's helped us all enjoy Bucky's first-ever tour as a rising country star.

Bucky's star is rising on the radio, too--"It's Good to Be Us" picked up a little more pre-release momentum since our last look late Sunday night, and it opens the week at #74 on the weighted and #83 on the Top 500 Mediabase charts. (These are the afternoon stats--I goofed this morning and linked to the weighted chart twice! Apologies for the confustion--Winnie.) If you're fortunate enough to have Detroit's WYCD as your hometown station, you're enjoying memories of Bucky's stop at the Michigan State Fair and a healthy dose of Bucky's newest hit-in-the-making on your FM dial. Be sure to call them up and let them know you're loving the song--and while you're at it, send them your photo with Bucky for their Michigan State Fair gallery! (Come on, now--I know some of y'all were there with cameras in hand. Don't be shy...)

We'll close with a link to the Bucky Truck Stop at Rawkhands, where a classic concert photo by kareninmd is sure to put a smile for your face for the rest of the morning. (Thanks, Beesims!)

(Edited to add a belated very happy birthday wish to Minnie--hope it was wonderful!)

More very soon--have a mellifluous Monday...
