WKML's "Top 5 at 6" countdown is right around the corner; will Bucky Covington's "A Different World" hang on to that Number One spot tonight? Listen to the online stream at 6 p.m. ET, and stay tuned--we'll have the results for you here later this evening. (Results: Bucky's single was the second most requested song of the night--thanks so much to all who wrote in!)
A Different World" was the winner of last night's songfight on WBAM in Montgomery, AL, and tonight's is now in progress. WBAM offers online streaming, so listen in to find out how to cast your vote for Bucky right away! (Results: Bucky's "A Different World" retires at WBAM tonight as a five-time undefeated winner. "The DJ said [that was] the most votes they have ever received", a kind commenter reports. Way to go! More very soon...)
NASCAR report....oh my it is amazing how many of these I have endured because of Bucky. hahaha
ReplyDeleteTop 5 at 6!
ReplyDelete#5 Sugarland "One, Two"
You'll be an expert soon!
ReplyDeleteOh don't even think that....sooooo not my cup of tea!
ReplyDelete(Is that a new one by them? Never heard of it...)
ReplyDelete#4 Jack Ingram "Lips of an Angel"
ReplyDeleteYes DJ said it was Sugarland's new one.
ReplyDeleteRandom question....what is that nickname Bucky often uses for NC?
ReplyDeleteNorth Cackalacky?
ReplyDeleteJohn Bradley in for Larry tonight. John is a fine DJ but gotta say I miss Larry. :)
ReplyDeleteOkay...they said it was going to be Brad's song...but now they are playing Bucky's now. Oops...I think the sub made a boo boo.
What is the origin or whatever behind "Cackalacky?"
ReplyDelete#2 Bucky Covington "Different World"
ReplyDelete#3 Brad Paisley "She's Everything"
He apoligized for technical mistake and said make sure you give "Buckly" [sic] credit for being number 2 tonight. Play Brad now.
I really miss Larry. hahaha
Oops! Wonder what the actual order was? Oh, well. A spin's a spin...
ReplyDeleteNo clue about Ckackalacy--the first time I ever heard it was when Bucky said it, but apparently there's a hip-hop connection somewhere. It's fun, though. :)
(I can't even hear the stream 75% of the time, and I miss Larry!)
Oh my....this break the sub DJ John got his name right and actually said "Bucky Covington" but now he called the song "Different Life."
ReplyDeleteI really REALLY miss Larry! haha
(Was trying to edit post and deleted my own comment! Oh, well. "Buckly"'s doin' fine--bet a lot of new people heard him today.)
ReplyDelete#1 "Watching You" Rodney Atkins
ReplyDeleteGosh...Larry scretched this countdown bit until about 4:30pm....today it will be over before 4:20pm. haha
This DJ has a nice speaking voice but he just does not have the countdown flair of Larry. LOL LOL Plus Larry never called Bucky, "Buckly" or "Different Workd," Different Life." hahaha Oh well...either Larry will be back tomorrow I expect OR John will rise to the occasion on the big Friday countdown when Bucky is back at #1. *fingers crossed* haha
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Bucky for another good showing in the countdown! :D
That's okay--we have apparently have a songfight in AL to attend to...
ReplyDeleteWBAM
And I agree, Anon--congratulations! That song has some staying power! :)
ReplyDeleteBucky won the showdown against Montgomery Gentry. The DJ said the most votes they have ever recieved. He will be retired the 5 day champ. GO BUCKY!!!
ReplyDeletem
Wow, that is awesome--thanks so much for the news! :)
ReplyDeleteYay WBAM listeners! :D
ReplyDeleteThe just played Kellie's brand new single on WKML so maybe "A Different World" and "I Wonder" will both be on the Top 5 at 6 soon.

OOPs, the addy got cut off. Lets try this again. Also Scroll down past the video of Bucky on LKL. Thats where the nice words are.

I mean yes it is good that Bucky is praised...but I wish they would not have to bring down Carrie and Josh in doing so. All three are talented and there is room for all of them to be successful and put our good music.
ReplyDeleteour=out (Boo to typos!)

ReplyDeleteOK my last post. That last addy seems to be all there. Remove the spaces.
ReplyDeleteI know it is not nice to put down the other idols. I was just paying attention to the nice words about Bucky. I happen to disagree with his words on Carrie and Josh. I love both of them.
ReplyDeleteHow does one make the clickable blue word links on here?
ReplyDeleteThanks for that link! Interesting, coming from an Idol blogger who sounds like he might be a country music fan too...
ReplyDeleteLet's try this:
Miami Herald
To make clickable links in commnets, you can use the "a href" html tag (remove spaces in the real thing):
ReplyDeleteText you want to link
Hope that helps! :)
"a href" html tag
ReplyDeleteI do not know what that means? :O
Whoops--was trying to leave spaces so you could see how it was done but ended up making a working link. It is 1:30 am here and I may not make mch sense! I'll try again:
ReplyDeleteType all this stuff between the rows of asterisks on one line with no spaces (I will use Google as the example):
******************************
"http://www.google.com">
Google
*******************************
If that doesn't help, there are probably HTML tutorials in Google search that can explain it much better that I can...hope that helps a little!
