Radio interviews today...

ETA: Bucky was on the air at Kix106 starting at about 8:30 a.m. CST. Here is the link to the thread at the Fox boards. Among the tidbits: the segment is being taped for a later local TV news broadcast; Bucky will be doing more dates with Sawyer Brown, and he sang "American Friday Night" live acoustically on the air. (How I wish I could have heard that--sigh!) A song that Bucky co-wrote called "Carolina Blue" will be on his upcoming CD. More soon, and thanks to all who helped with comments and notes...

Bucky's official site lists not one, but two radio interviews today (Tuesday, 2/6)--the first is the "WGKX Morning Show" on Memphis' Kix106 (this is probably the Young and Elder show, which runs from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. EST) and the second is the "KSSN Midday Show" on Little Rock's KSSN 96 (possibly the Chad Heritage show from 3 to 7 p.m., although it wouldn't hurt to listen to the Rick Steel show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., just in case. And hey, is that a lunchtime request hour email address there on that page?)

Both stations stream, so you'll be able to enjoy each interview. (Alas, my PC is too old to work with Kix106's player, so I won't be doing a play-by-play this morning; but there will no doubt be a good one at the Fox boards.) The Young and Elder site also features an archive of their recent interviews, so check back to see if Bucky's second visit has been preserved for posterity.

As always, information is subject to last minute changes--stay tuned here, at the Fox boards and at Bucky's official site for updates. Thanks and enjoy--see you later today!

15 shows with Sawyer Brown being planned.

Song Bucky wrote about Carolina made the album.

He just sang "Different World" with 2 of the members of S.B. backing him. :)

Bucky sang American Friday Night acoustic! Bucky is traveling via tour bus...rides in the back and can't see where they are going next. haha! Told funny story about riding dirt bike with police escort when he went back home. I think he was kidding!

Okay how long does it take to travel on a bus from Memphis to Little Rock? That is how long we have until the next radio station visit. haha

Okay Bucky fans....that is how long you have to actually get something accomplished before that major DISTRACTION again. hahaha

Someone who lives in Memphis told me that they saw Bucky on channel 13...and they showed part of his video!! This is what they said about it...

In the video he was singing outside while playing his guitar. The channel 13 guys asked him if he was out in the country somewhere when he filmed that video. And Bucky laughed and said they filmed the video in L.A. because "where can you find green trees and grass in February?" haha

  23. Thanks! And a big "hee" at Bucky and his February greenery. Man, it's going to be a glorious day when we finally get to see this... :)

Oh Bucky playing his guitar in the video...I love that idea! Now did someone capture the TV spot?

I am really thinking that Bucky could have a hit on his hand with "Back When Mullets Were Cool"--at least people wouldn't be accusing him of writing about something of which he doesn't have firsthand knowledge (tee hee). Thabk God that shaved underneath reverse mullet has been replaced by the fluffy cascading locks!

  26. You know, I am sitting here just giggling at the song title and the hairstyling observations! (I agree--I think the current look is a winner!)

Yes...love the "fluffy" totally! haha :D

  30. Bren, thank you and how cool to ask! I sure hope they do--that would be super. Fingers crossed for some excellent news from Memphis...

(Wonder if we'll get a bit of the video tomorrow on Fox News? Hope so.)

Anon, yep! Bucky is a very gracious man--loved the way he thanked the fans there. (Awww.)
