Kathy at Team Covington has the scoop on two fun upcoming events--and a great photo, too! Bucky will be interviewed on a future installment of the syndicated Racing Country radio show, which features auto-racing and country music personalities and news. (Head to Kathy's now for a nice new shot of Bucky with show host Cathy Martindale and label exec Dale Turner.)
There's also a fresh addition to Bucky's CMT profile; he'll be the subject of a future 20 Questions feature. CMT wants to know what you'd like to ask Bucky! The link on his profile page leads to the 20 Questions archive; a short paragraph inviting you to ask Miranda Lambert a question tops the page at present. But as Kathy kindly points out, you can always change the subject line if you've got a burning query that needs an answer right away! Otherwise, hang in there--the page will no doubt be updated soon. (Thanks again to Kathy for the news; after her excellent "I Found the One" question at the GAC after-show autograph line, I can't wait to find out what she'll ask Bucky next...)
And finally, a little bit of North Carolina civic pride--it looks like the mayor of Asheville has great taste in homestate heroes! Mayor Terry Bellamy took time out to visit the recent Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation's Radiothon benefit at the Asheville Mall; she enjoyed Bucky's acoustic performance, thanked him for his support of the cause and even stood in line for an autograph. You can check out Bucky's photo with the Mayor at his official site; more images from the Radiothon are available at 99.9 Kiss Country's gallery page.
Have a great night--see you soon!
Wow you have been busy today. Thanks Winnie for getting all this imfo Becky
ReplyDeleteBecky, you're very kind! I can't take the credit for the info in this post, though--I stole it from Kathy. Be sure to check out her great new photo of Bucky on the promo circuit! :)
ReplyDeleteI checked photo...pretty smile and pretty eyes. :D
ReplyDeleteHere is a review from a non country fan. WOW is all I gots to say!!

You know, someone earlier was expressing concern about Bucky's sales etc(believe me I have lost sleep worrying lo I'm a dork) but I noticed this in an ad I saw about Joe Nichols today.... "The album has moved 38 spots since November" I think it just takes longer to move up the charts in country.
ReplyDeleteAnon, thanks for the link to that blog review! Those songs are making a seriously good impression...is it April yet? :)
ReplyDeleteKathy, that does seem to be the case so very often on the country charts--I think that Jason Aldean song that was topping the CMT countdown a couple of weeks ago was originally released around September '06! Even if Bucky's single takes a number of weeks (or months?) to get where it's going, it'll be fun to watch and sing along.
(To be honest, there's still a part of me that's in "whooo, Bucky Covington's got a single on the charts!" mode. So happy for him...)
