Evening news: video voting and a bit of Sawyer Brown

A generous friend created this sunlit still from Bucky's new music video--thanks so much! You can pre-order Bucky Covington's debut CD at Amazon, Best Buy and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT, or enjoy samples of four songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. Bucky is also featured in this week's edition of Country Weekly magazine, on newsstands now.

Bucky's music video for "A Different World" gets a front page blurb on AmericanIdol.com today, but the real buzz is happening over at CMT, where it's set to make its official debut during the Top 20 Countdown show at 4:00 pm Eastern (click here for other showtimes), and at GAC, where you can cast a write in vote now for Bucky's video at the Top Twenty Country Countdown voting page (scroll down to foot of page for email link; one vote per email address per day.)

Bucky's CMT profile also has a link for the video--as of this post, clicking that link won't get us very far, but it should be "loaded" sometime very soon. (Yes, I am a bit anxious to watch it there; if you are too, and you're getting weary of waiting, send them a hint via the "Loaded" feedback form and perhaps they'll get that beautiful "A Different World" clip going for us a little quicker...)

There's news in the live perfomance category, too--it's just been announced that Bucky will be the special guest of Sawyer Brown at the Kansas State Fair on September 13th. Wondering what might be in store? A kind Sawyer Brown fan who was at that private show at Harrah's in Cherokee, NC wrote in to give her impressions of that performance:

We were at the Harrah's show on Sunday night. Bucky performed "Keep Your Hands to Yourself" and "Some Girls Do" with Sawyer Brown. It was a lot of fun to see him come bounding on stage. From where I sat, I could see him and Rocky on the side of the stage enjoy Sawyer Brown's performance.
................................................

I am enjoying watching him and am especially enjoying his interaction with Sawyer Brown. I've been going to see SB since their days on Star Search - and there are a lot of things about Bucky that remind me of Mark in the early days. And, Mark and Bucky's chemistry is so evident. You can really see that they enjoy each other and are developing a great relationship!

Thanks so much to SBgirlCin for sharing the fun! If you'd like to check out this winning combination, there are several Sawyer Brown/Bucky Covington shows listed on Bucky's official site--which has undergone a bit of a facelift today.

Bucky's radio promo tour is taking a short break; according to the tour schedule at BuckyCovingtonMusic.com, his next event will be an American Idol viewing party in Cincinnati, OH on 2/20, sponsored by WUBE and WYGY. But the radio work for us never takes a break--be sure and request Bucky's "A Different World" at your favorite local and streaming country stations during this critical seven-day stretch. Bucky's Top 40 status must hold steady this week and next if we're going to hear Kix Brooks announcing his name on American Country Countdown soon. (Imagine how cool that's going to be...)

Edited to add: A kind friend just found this listing; Bucky will be at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville along with Emerson Drive, Donovan Chapman, Jerrod Niemann, Jamie Lee Thurston, Lantana, Rhonda Towns and Burrito Deluxe on 3/1 from 7 to 11:30 p.m. for the "Live from CRS 38" performance that night. Check the Wildhorse Saloon's site for further details; we'll add information here as we find it, too. Those who'll be in the Nashville area are in for an awesome night of music.

More very soon!
