Windy little post (and congratulations, Taylor!)

Edited to add a link to this excellent CBS News interview with Taylor Hicks--among many other intriguing things, he does mention that he keeps in touch with Bucky. Taylor's debut album officially hits the stores today--and if you'd like to enjoy him on television this week, you've got lots of options. Check Taylor's official site for showtimes and updates, and be sure to snag his whompalicious CD, too. Congratulations, Taylor!

One of the downsides of living on the scenic Great Lakes is that the wind can sometimes take our electricity away for a little while! Back with a full post in a few, I promise. While we were catching up, it was fun to note that the pre-GAC-filming Knox News article on Bucky has been picked up by the wire services; a truncated version hit this morning's Naples News , presented as a preview of the GAC Christmas at the Tennessee special.

The big question, of course, is this--will the lovely "Different World" get airtime on national television? There's a line in the article about Bucky performing the song "for the GAC show", but the meaning of "show" in this sentence--the concert or the TV special?--remains unclear, although the fans who were there for the taping report that all the performances were filmed...

There's one thing we do know without a doubt--Bucky Covington does a beautiful rendition of that beautiful song, and if the viewing audience gets to hear it...they'll want more. Guaranteed.

And if you'd like to hear it live, here's a link for tickets to tonight's Saginaw, MI concert, and another for tomorrow's Canton, Ohio show. (If you're going to the latter, look for a tall, dark smiling lady in the crowd--that'd be me.)

Long post in a bit--come on back!
