If you're an Ohioan (or a Pennsylvanian, or a West Virginian like my buddy Kathy at Team Covington), you'll want to join us in Canton for tomorrow night's show at the Civic Center; great seats are still available, the venue is beautiful, and Canton's easy to get to from almost anywhere in the IN/OH/PA/WV/KY area. Here's what Becky had to say about last night's show:
WOW--what fun the concert was! All the singers were great! Bucky was fantastic--he really got the crowd into it. The other guys said when they first met Bucky, they didn't know what to think because he came in saying "my hair was breaking". Here, Bucky's hair was a little wet and it was 5 below outside, and Buckys hair had froze just that quick . Bucky thought to himself he didn't put any gel on it--then he figured out it froze. Well, this all happened right in front of the others, and they said they thought "oh boy", lol! They seem to all like him.
And he was telling someone about his friend Chris Daughtry having a shaved head, and it still took him longer then him to do his hair. It was great fun and my hubby even liked Bucky and joked with him. Then we found out Deana Carter was a neighbor of our cousin--small world, huh? We liked Blue County so much we bought their CD.
Bucky's song was great, brings back good memories of the past. Hubby said it will be a big hit. What fun, I want to go again. I am so glad that I was right about Bucky. Well just thought I let you know it was great. Plus, they said they were going to try to get together next year too for a reunion.
A reunion? Sounds like a fun idea to me. (They must be really enjoying this tour. You'll enjoy it too--maybe I'll see you in Canton tomorrow?) Big thanks to Becky for sharing her fantastic evening!

I am getting so tingly about tomorrow! lol Have you heard if anyone got to take their video cameras in? Honey said it is really undersold. Worries me. So it is really cold around you now? We had freezing last week and now we are at 61. Weirdo weather around here.
ReplyDeleteIt's about 58 degrees here--very strange! At least we know the bus is unlikely to get stuck in the snow...
ReplyDeleteCanton is in a bit of a slump economically, but the good news is that it's an easy drive from Cleveland, Akron, Pittsburgh, etc. I saw a piece about the show up here in the papers, and I bet a lot of out of towners (like me and you!) will end up boosting the numbers at the last minute.
Not sure about video--the venue link says cameras permitted, though, so hopefully... :)

ReplyDeleteSmall video camera, large bra. Live it, learn it, love it. Unless you are like me and could only smuggle a camera the size of the new Ipod shuffle in. Sniff.
ReplyDeleteDo they really check to see if all the cameras are video capable? That would take too much time I would think.
I would be forever grateful if someone could get another video of "Different World". Especially if GAC doesn't air that portion of the show.
I think we should bombard GAC officals and let them know we want the whole concert. Not just one hour. If not now...maybe in a few weeks.

If we can't get video, audio would be nice. I'm sure one of our techies can help us rip an mp3 from a video - even if the picture is of the floor or the inside of someones, um, brassiere? It's the sound that counts.

ReplyDeleteJust got the call earlier for the Meet and Greet. The girl said they had been trying to email people but mail was not going through. Yahoo mail has been screwy all day.
Did you ever get your email from them? I got a phone call and said she would follow-up via email but I never got the email.
