This beautiful All-American graphic by Lisa/letusjudge of Buck Wild fame is the ninth entry in the "Bucky Covington CD Cover Un-Contest". Lisa uses lfesvr's great concert portraits of Bucky to create a lot of visual impact in a small space. (And we love the choice of singles, too--can't wait to hear Bucky's original songs on the radio.) Kudos to Lisa for a striking tribute to a true Southern Gentleman! You can enjoy much more of Lisa's creativity at her gorgeous (and newly expanded) Buck Wild site. Thanks again, Lisa!
It's still terrifically quiet--and it probably will be until next weekend, when things will get very busy--but here's a quick look at what's happening around the scene:
One last photo thread from the Providence concert was shared by a talented fan at IDF; there are by-the-buses photos, including several fun snaps of a smiling Bucky, and some well-done onstage photos, too. This "Superstition" shot is especially cool, and this "You're the One That I Want" dip looks simultaneously hilarious and downright dangerous. The man sure knows how to sweep a girl off her red Louboutin high heels...
At the Fox boards, a thread about Bucky's possible record deal has morphed into a discussion by some very kind fans about the possibility of some sort of as-it-happens reporting from Hugo's next week. That would be wonderful, if there's a way to do it and still allow all parties involved to have a fabulous time. (The ideal solution would be a DVD of the live show, like the Workplay DVD/CD that LMBO is offering to their fans--it's a dream, of course, but it's a fun one.) At any rate, we'll be at Hugo's in spirit on the 13th; this, we know for sure. If you'd like to be there in 3-D, the planning thread is still going strong.
And to round things out for the evening, here's a MySpace you won't want to miss--keep up with the latest birthday greetings for Rocky and Bucky right here, and enjoy one of the coolest backgrounds we've seen in a long time! (Via Buck Wild, with thanks.)
See you soon!
