Lisa/letusjudge created this dramatic large-scale graphic celebrating Bucky as he lives the dream on the road, and it's the tenth entry in the "Bucky Covington CD Cover Un-Contest". Blogger.com's margins were too small to hold this lovely, sweeping image, so click the cover to view it full-size. It really deserves to be seen in all its splendor! Lisa combined lfesvr's classic performance shot with a great center photo of Bucky emerging from the tour bus to rock another crowd. (And that intriguing closeup at left adds a little mystery...) You can enjoy much more of Lisa's gorgeous graphic design at her Bucky Covington fan site, Buck Wild. Thanks again, Lisa!
Happy Birthday, Taylor Hicks! Bucky's friend Taylor is thirty today--and we know his next thirty years will be filled with some fine, fine music. Congratulations, Taylor!
It is--you guessed it--pretty quiet today, but if you're in the mood for reminiscing, you're not alone. Lots of looking back with fondness is happening all over the Idolsphere today; this thread at Bucky's folder on the Fox boards is especially nostalgic and sweet.
And if you'd like a little audio-visual assistance for a trip down Memory Lane, there are plenty of generous webmasters out there to help you along your way. Kathy at Team Covington has a wonderful list of links to clips from as far back as "Thunder Rolls" to as recent as the AI Tour, and Lisa at Buck Wild offers a media page with many hard-to-find clips to view on site, along with off-site links. And don't forget MJ's media page at the Big Blog--lots and lots of good stuff from all the Idols--and from this year and last year, if you're feeling very nostalgic. Pull up a chair, sip a cup of coffee, and enjoy!
Leaving later this morning for a short-notice work trip, but I'll try to stop in very late tonight with some real news. (I hope. These quiet times are crazy-making. ) See you soon--have a great Saturday!
