Retro by request! A kind reader wanted to see this very early Idol promo shot on the front page again, so here it is. (I like the boots, too.) Thanks for stopping by!

Got a huge mountain of work to catch up on, so watch out later today for a full post and a new CD cover in this spot...but in the meantime, there's a lively discussion going on that's well worth a look. Over at the Country Weekly boards, there's a Bucky Covington thread in progress in the "Emerging Artists" category (scroll down). Unlike this here blog, it's a "general entertainment" rather than a fan thread (i.e. Bucky's got both fans and detractors there), but from what I could gather the tone is generally respectful, open and interesting. It's fascinating to get a glimpse of how many country--and non-country, and sub-genre/traditionalist/neo-modern/Americana/etc.--fans, some of whom didn't see Bucky on Idol at all, feel about his prospects.
