Quick update...

Another great photo by the very talented Honeygirl--Bucky on stage at Hugo's, October 13th. Thanks, Honeygirl!

It's still a little quiet out there, as everyone recovers from the weekend's excitement--but it looks as though busier times are just around the corner. From a confidential but reliable source:

Bucky is going to be busy in November. He will be in Nashville to start recording. His first single will not be released before the first of the year. There's a good possibility Bucky will be performing in 3 shows in Missouri in November--one in Kansas City, one in St. Joseph, and one in Columbia, Missouri. In addition, more information on the new Official Website and the Official Fan Club will be coming next week.

More information and confirmation will follow next week--stay tuned!

Meanwhile, the memories from last week's shows in Rockingham just keep on coming--this stunning professional photoset at Flickr looks as though it came right out of a Rolling Stone photoessay. Big kudos and thanks to the photographer for graciously posting these online. (Big thanks also to Honeygirl for the heads-up.)

And to wrap things up for the time being, a little quiz--have you been to this site more than once this week? More than once today? Have you hit the Bucky-related sites on the sidebar so often that you have no idea what color the un-clicked links are supposed to be? If so, you may be suffering from "OBCD, ORCD, or OCCD", but don't feel bad--you're not alone. To date, there doesn't seem to be a cure--or much interest in finding one--but most "sufferers" (not sure that's the right term!) seem to be far too busy having fun to seek treatment...

More later!

My oh my! Winnie's got a confidential source! You go girl. That is wonderful news about the recording in Nashville and the possibility of an official website. I just checked out this very nicely designed website for Patrick Hall who was one of the first guys to get the boot and was thinking how Bucky really needs a real presence on the web. I was also thinking that you would be a great candidate to maintain his Myspace. Seriously, yout posts are always positive and informative without being excessively fangirly and you have such a great appreciation for Bucky's musicianship.

Those flickr shots are amazing. They are so revealing of his ease at being just one of the "boys" and the affection he has for his hometown buddies.

PS: Are you thinking crazy thoughts about 18 hour drives to Kansas City?

  2. You are making me blush. Cut that out! (Seriously, thanks for the encouraging words--you are very kind.)

I really love those Flickr shots, too. They're wonderful to see right now for the very reasons you mentioned, and also a great moment-in-time record to look back on. I think years ahead, when they've been at this for a long time in bigger and bigger venues, Bucky and his hometown buddies will look back on this show with a lot of affection. I hope this photographer works with Bucky and his band again. He really captured something special in those photographs.

And very sheepishly, I will admit it...yes, I am indeed thinking those same crazy thoughts you mentioned. (You must be thinking them too--maybe I'll see you at the show?) I actually have relatives out that way...hmmm...

EEEEEEE! I love the Flickr shots - thanks for posting the link, dollface. Although I'm all to' up and fangirly now as a result.

Any new word/rumor on a potential label deal?
