Very quick news: Bucky Covington at the CMA Awards (photo links), and the "Save A Hero" campaign kicks off in Nashville...

Click here to enjoy Bucky Covington's acoustic performance of "God Bless The USA" at YouTube. Bucky's new album Good Guys is available at Amazon, iTunes, the HelpTheGoodGuys.com store--where an IAFF Special Edition CD with bonus tracks is on offer--Bucky's official site, or at a music retailer near you.

Huge thanks to Monarch Publicity for sharing this terrific photo at Facebook todayBucky Covington, Kidde President Jim Ward, Mickey Milam of Help the Good Guys and Kidde's Chris Rovenstine kicked off the "Be A Hero, Save A Hero" fire-safety campaign this morning at Nashville Fire Department Station #9.  The goal is to raise $20,000 for injured firefighters and their families via HTGG and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, and to raise awareness of home fire-safety precautions. If you'd like to help, it's as easy as visiting the AlarmPledge.com website and taking the pledge...

Bucky's red-carpet ride to tonight's CMA Awards was also a highlight--who needs a limo when you can arrive in a beautiful vintage fire truck? Check out another shot here, and stay tuned to Bucky's Facebook and the Help the Good Guys timeline as the night rolls on.  It's safe to guess that lots more CMA Awards shots are on their way!

More photos from the campaign launch and the red carpet were shared by Prince George Fire Department Chief Marc Bashoor, who was a key participant in both events today; his Lockerz album is here.

We'll be back with more ASAP--in the meantime, be sure to catch the CMA Awards red carpet livestream here at CMT, and watch the awards tonight at 8 (7 Central) on ABC.  See you soon!

  2. Um...thanks! If I am ever in Nepal, I will be sure to use that information. :) (Does the hotel have special rates for Sunday Picnics And Meetings? I hope your hotel has smoke alarms in every room! Please take the pledge at AlarmPledge.com and thank you for stopping in.)
