Bucky Covington, who finished in eighth place [during Season Five], returns to the Billboard charts with his first album for the eOne imprint. Good Guys debuts at No. 30 on the Top Country Albums list and No 177 on the Billboard 200.

Froggy 104.9/101.7 shared some good news on Twitter about Bucky and Shooter's "Sink or Swim" landslide victory today--and we'll be that there are many more of those fun songfights on the horizon. You have at least two hot chances to see and hear Bucky live this weekend--he and his band will be performing at the Tallahatchie RiverFest in New Albany, MS on Saturday night, and on Sunday afternoon, he'll do an acoustic set at Cousler Park in Manchester Township, PA at the Music for a Muscle benefit for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, along with the Manchester Township career firefighters, Help The Good Guys and Kayla Kroh. There's a rumor on Twitter that Bucky will also be performing at the Grand Ole Opry on Friday night--this is unconfirmed as of post time, y'all (I'd put that in blinking font if I knew how--he isn't on the list of performers at last check, although that's very much subject to change), but if you'll be in Nashville tomorrow evening, you might wanna check that out!
I'll be traveling for work early tomorrow with no internet access for most of the time, so I'll have to say goodbye a day early, but never fear--the fantastic Fran will keep us all up to date at the excellent Buckytown USA blog this and every Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning.
