Bucky Covington's made it official: his new single, "I Wanna Be That Feeling" (available now at iTunes) hits country radio on May 7th, and we couldn't be happier! From today's press release:

Nashville, TN (April 16, 2012): After signing a record deal with Entertainment One Music Group late last year, country music star Bucky Covington is excited to release his long-awaited new single "I Wanna Be That Feeling" to country radio. "I Wanna Be That Feeling", the lead single from Bucky’s sophomore album expected mid 2012, is the perfect up-tempo country love song, written by Jimmy Yeary and Ben Hayslip. The song delivers to country radio today via PlayMPE with an add date set for May 7th.

The good news is piling up as Covington gears up for a busy touring season. He’s recently played two dates supporting injured police and fire fighters as spokesperson for one of his favorite charities, Help The Good Guys . He just performed this past weekend in Nashville, TN at the Southern Women’s Show supporting Camp Phoenix Burn Camp with Nashville Firefighters Local 140, and in Madisonville, TN with proceeds benefiting injured Tennessee Highway Patrol Officer Sgt. Lowell Russell. Upcoming Help The Good Guys dates are being added often, with the next show taking place April 22nd in Little Rock, AR.

That April 22nd date is happening at The Electric Cowboy (9515 Highway I-30, Little Rock, AK) at 4 pm, when Bucky performs for the benefit of Jacksonville, AK Fire and Police officers Captain Donnie Jones (LODD), Engineer Jason Bowmaster and Officer Daniel DeMatteo and their families. Tickets are $10 online--buy 'em here.

In other fun news, videos and images from Bucky's recent shows are popping up online. Here's a phone video of Bucky singing "The Ride" taken by the very kind at Sunday's benefit concert; via Twitter, a photo from the Madisonville show by WTLV reporter Lorena Estrada; a great City Limits onstage shot by photographer Ingrid Ward; and a video-shout out posted at Lovin' Lyrics that's sure to make you smile.

Bucky's very next show is coming up on Thursday, April 19th, when he and his band will play The Babylon (4744 Mid Rivers Mall Dr) in Cottleville, MO. Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 day of show, and you can get yours right now online at Showclix (1-888-71-TICKETS). We'll see you soon--enjoy the evening!--W
