First things first--we're very thankful for the sweet shout out posted at Bucky Covington's official Facebook today! It's a pleasure keeping up with Bucky's busy schedule, and we're also thankful to you for stopping in and saying hello...
Speaking of Bucky's busy schedule (nice segue, yes?) it looks like there's an unofficial but highly likely addition today. This press release from SpeedwayMedia.com has some good news for Bucky's fans in Iowa:
Tickets for the Pioneer Hi-Bred 250 are available online at Ticketmaster now. Congratulations to all of Bucky's fans in the area--have fun! Tonight, Bucky's on stage at Z104 Country's listener appreciation concert in Salt Lake City with Steve Holy and The Farm. That one's a listen and win show, but tickets for his next scheduled date at Keller's Saloon in Castalian Springs, TN on April 7th are still available to the public, if you move very fast! Get yours by phone at 615-374-4719 ASAP...NEWTON, IA. – March 22, 2012 – As part of the initiative to improve the already great fan experience, Iowa Speedway is moving this year’s concert acts to the pre-race festivities – allowing more fans an opportunity to attend. Also new for this year: local bands from around the central Iowa region will be performing on the opening night of each event weekend on the Grinnell Mutual Concert Stage.
“In review of last year, we have been asking fans where we can improve the overall fan experience; and concert times were one of our main topics of discussion,” said Stan Clement, president of Iowa Speedway. “From the feedback, we feel moving all but one of our concerts to pre-race really allows more fans to enjoy this benefit of having a race ticket.”
The May 19 and 20 event weekend has Loose Neutral, a classic rock band from Marshalltown, performing Saturday afternoon before the Iowa 150 presented by Graham Tire Company, and Bucky Covington, who was a former American Idol finalist, will get the crowd amped for the Pioneer Hi-Bred 250 on Sunday.
A favorite Big Country Bash photo by the very kind Janie: Rocky Covington and Bucky Covington enjoy some applause in Des Moines.Bucky shared some good news at Twitter in reply to a listener's question about the video for his hot new single, "I Wanna Be That Feeling"--he said it's on its way "very very soon...it's ready and I've seen it." Needless to say, we're eagerly anticipating its debut on CMT and GAC. In the meantime, hearing it is as easy as picking up the phone and requesting Bucky at your local country radio station. (You knew I was gonna say that, didn't you?)
We'll be back very soon--have a great night, everyone!
