Bucky Covington concert notes, some "Superstition" and a little midweek "Mexicoma"

Bucky Covington and his band performed a breezy outdoor "Mexicoma" for their fans and friends in Jackson a little while back; many thanks to moya1jb for sharing it with us all on YouTube! Click here to check out the stops on Bucky's Hometown Tour, in progress even as we speak...

Just a few odds and ends for a midweek morning:

The week's biggest news, of course, is that Bucky's beautiful debut-album track "Hometown" is getting some early-spring radio airplay as he and his excellent band make their way across the country on their Hometown Tour. Feel free to request it at your local country station--especially if you're fortunate enough to have him there in your town playing a live show!

Bucky Covington and Ducky Medlock share a smile with the Wentzworth crowd in this great concert shot by the very generous Judy Lang. (Happy belated birthday and thanks, Judy!)

Bucky's next live show is set for the Dakota Event Center in Aberdeen, SD on Thursday the 3rd; tickets are just $10, and the doors open at 7:00 pm. Friday the 4th is the night of the big "Party in the Dirt" event at the North Dakota Winter Show in Valley City, where Bucky and company will perform with Sawyer Brown. Tickets (general admission) are $5 in advance, $40 on Friday. And the weekend wraps up in style on Saturday with a sold-out show at The BARn in Platteville, WI.

Finally, here's a little tribute inspired by the return of "Superstition" to the American Idol stage--Bucky's Idol version was a blast, of course (and a clear sign that he was destined to be with us for a nice long stretch on the show--our original recap from back in this this blog's pre-historic era is here.) But this fun concert video/montage from Blair Garner's 2008 CRS Week disco party is sheer awesomeness. Mega-thanks to Buckymouse for capturing this so beautifully! See you very soon--W.
