Thanks to the very kind BuckWild08 for this dramatic shot from Bucky Covington's New Year's Eve show in Winston-Salem. Updated with thanks to an anonymous commenter, who wrote: "Bucky left a message at Facebook that he was dropping by GAC today for a visit." If you're able to watch GAC where you are at the moment, feel free to share any news, and thanks in advance...
Here's a reminder about a must-see show for a great cause--Bucky Covington and his band will rock the house at WorkPlay in Birmingham, AL on February 9th, with The Band Perry as special guests. Tickets are on sale now at the WorkPlay box office online (via TicketBiscuit) for $20 plus a convenience charge. This is a benefit for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, sponsored by 102 Five the Bull--snag your seat soon and get ready for a fine evening of live country music!
Bucky's supporters are in an interesting--and delicate--spot this week. We've got a rising hit video on our hands (hop over and vote for "Gotta Be Somebody" at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown and CMT's Pure 12-Pack--we'll be here when you get back) but as of yet, no official word about the song's actual status as a single. (If it sounds like we're angling for a clue, there's a reason for that...)
In the meantime, our best bet is to--sing along with me here--keep supporting Bucky at video and radio. (Coming out to the shows is a given--wish I could do more of that, myself!) Whether we're technically between singles or not, keeping Bucky's music on the airwaves via request line calls and video votes is always a good thing.
Stay warm out there!

Hey, Kathy! It's good to see you and thanks for the heads-up--love that they picked "Bible & the Belt". (Always thought that should have been single #4 from Bucky';s debut.)
ReplyDeleteKris is rockin' the charts--congrats to him! :)
I always thought it should have been a single myself! I love Slezak at EW so I went to check it out and was excited to see Bucky there! Yep Kris is doing well yay. Slow but steady:)
