Some summer sunshine to warm a chilly December day--thanks to the very talented Buckaholic for this great shot of Bucky Covington waving to the crowd at the Indiana State Fair. Click the image to see Bucky's concert schedule at his official site.A few photos from the KSON Carols by Candlelight concerts in San Diego are now posted at the station's site--enjoy! Other than that, we'll have a slow news stretch for a while, y'all--Bucky Covington and his band are taking a break for the holidays. They'll return to the road with a flourish on Dec. 29th, when they hit the Hard Rock Cafe in Nashville. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the ASCAP Foundation, in support of the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Snag your tickets now at Ticket Alternative.com--this one's bound to sell out fast.
American Idol Rewind will feature Bucky and his Season 5 contemporaries again this week; the episodes don't seem to be aired in order, so we'll recommend checking LocateTV.com for details on which segment will be shown in your viewing area. (The TV Guide Channel repeats the episodes a week after their syndicated airing--a nice way to catch up on ones you might have missed.)
More Indiana State Fair fun from Buckaholic --Jeff Cease, Bucky Covington and Steve Cook rocked the Indianapolis crowd. Bucky and his band return to Indy on January 15 for a show at the 8 Seconds Saloon; click here for tickets. And yep--this season is tough--very tough!--on those of us who are faithful radio requesters. Christmas songs do have a way of pushing emerging hits off the front burner, but soon the charts and playlists will be back to normal. Requesting now (even if our requests don't get played) keeps Bucky and "Gotta Be Somebody" warmed up and ready for a post-holiday surge, and voting for the video on GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown and CMT's Pure 12-Pack keeps the momentum going as well. (Bucky's video moved up to #13 on GAC's countdown and bounced back to #2 on CMT Pure--congratulations and thanks!)
Update: Medrock (that's Ducky Medlock and Rocky Covington's excellent musical project) will play The Loading Zone (2825 Smith Springs Road, Nashville, TN) on Dec. 23, according to their MySpace concert calendar. Thanks to the very kind Jodie for the news.
Have a terrific weekend and stay safe in the snow!
