Thanks so much to buckyandrockytxfan for this fun video from Bucky Covington's show in Greenville last Saturday--"Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" was definitely a crowd pleaser! (For more good stuff from Greenville, check out this morning's post at Buckytown USA, and for a studio version of Bucky's Christmas rocker, sleigh ride on over to iTunes.)
At long last, here's the expanded social networking info for some of your favorite syndicated country radio stars. We want to make it as easy as possible for everyone (even the shy folks) to request Bucky Covington's "Gotta Be Somebody" and to spread the fun of enjoying one-on-one time with those familiar voices. And if your local country station has a Twitter, Facebook and/or MySpace profile, get connected! Radio's no longer a one-way street--we love listening to them, and increasingly, they want to know what's on our minds, too. Here's the new list:
This information's also got a permanent place in our left-hand sidebar, so be sure to come back often and take advantage. Giving Bucky a boost has never been easier...
While we're waiting for the Monday night chart updates, why not enjoy some well-written observations from the road by Steve Cook? Bucky's omni-talented bass player has updated his Shiny Bass Journal, complete with exciting news about an upcoming gig backing the legendary Steve Cropper. (And yes, "Green Onions" did start playing in my head the moment I read that...not gonna lie.) Happy birthday, Steve!
Billboard update: "Gotta Be Somebody" is #40 on the Country Indicator chart (down two from last week's #38) and is listed as "New and Active" (think of that as "bubbling under"), but is not on this week's Hot Country Songs chart. Please keep in mind that a) charts are pretty wacky this time of year and b) a few extra requests will go a long way toward soothing the chart-anxiety blues. So call a DJ and flirt a little! (Ahem.) More soon...
