Thanks again to Judy Lang for this great shot from Bucky Covington's performance at the Iowa State Fair. Click the image to see Bucky's current concert dates at his official site. Bucky Covington's fans in Nashville are probably offline and on their way to this morning's Music City bonus event--Bucky will be at the Hard Rock Cafe’s Guitar Smash opening ceremony at 10:30am. Have fun out there!
As for the rest of us, there's plenty to look forward to in 2010--the year starts off with the big 93.1 The Wolf's New Year's Howlin' Eve party with Bucky and his band in Winston-Salem. If you're local, stop by the Embassy Suites front desk (425 North Cherry Street), call (336) 725-3500 or email info@twincityquarter.com for last-minute news.
Rumor has it the January 15th show at the 8 Seconds Saloon (111 North Lynhurst in Indianapolis) is going to be pretty packed, indeed. Don't miss out--snag your seat at Ticketmaster today. On the 16th, you can catch Bucky, Chris Young and Easton Corbin at Luckie's Tavern in Baltimore. The WPOC for Kids concert is a 21-and-up benefit for St. Jude's Children's Hospital--doors open at 5, music begins at 6, and $5 tickets are available. Hope you'll be there for that excellent bill!
Another rockin' memory from the summer tour--Rocky Covington and Bucky Covington share a smile on stage in Belvidere, IL. Thanks again to the talented Judy Lang for the photo.Bucky and his band are working hard (and traveling far) in support of his current single, "Gotta Be Somebody", and his upcoming album, I'm Alright. The winter chart freeze is no fun, but the thaw is at hand, and things will be heating up again by mid-January. If requesting's been a little difficult lately, now's the time to hop back into the driver's seat. Although the song might not be brand new to us, stations and listeners are looking for something fresh and new to them for the New Year--so be sure to give your local country station an opportunity (or two, or more) to share Bucky's infectious spin on this optimistic hit.
And of course, remember those video votes--GAC and CMT need to hear from us in 2010, too! Vote for Bucky at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown and CMT's Pure 12-Pack before you finalize those New Year's plans. See you soon!
Um...thanks. You too! ;)
